I did the same except for using the HD version, with a lighter spring (probably the same as yours) and a different piston.

Had to upgrade the front as well, now the bike rides very nicely!
Good choice IMO.

2014CVO:
Made a bracket to attach my oil can/filter, so it fits below the oil tank in the small space next to lines. Spare stepper motor cover has almost arrived, as well as 3/8 ID hose, y barb, and 1/4 npt 3/8 barbs. Ordered tail tidy and USA rear turn signals, ordered front and rear led inserts (amber/red at rear and white/amber front) and led under fender lights (running/brake). Also looking at making another bracket for oil can/filter which will place the oil can/filter under the stepper motor (this may take some time, but in the meantime it will fit below the oil tank) as the oil can/filter looks great under the stepper motor cover next to air filter. Ordered numerous lhs and rhs nuts and bolts for controls, as previous owner let brake fluid drip on the bolts and chrome and the bolts were also rusty. It’s disappointing that some people don’t look after their bikes, or maybe I’m just a pedantic owner who wants my bike to be in absolute pristine condition. I never wash my bikes with water or ride in the rain, but spend hours polishing and cleaning my bikes with cloths, cotton buds and anything else that gets into all the crevices. Applied Harley black leather rejuvenator to seats and also leather protection. Polished wheels, all chrome and paintwork, the whole bloody bike. Spent many hours reading service manuals, owners manual and electrical diagrams. All of the above over the past 5 days, not “today”, but thought I would share. ;-)

Hi 89Speedy, where did you get those under fender led’s…they look great.

Any tips when installing them?

You running brake/light/turn?

I put my tool bag and rear bag today. Been reading a lot of interesting views putting luggage on a breakout…personally, I love them.

2014CVO:
Waiting for tail tidy before saddlebags go on.
