« on: November 18, 2007, 08:29:13 PM »

Has anyone else had a problem with the decompression valve on there 110 engine? According to my service rep. this is what caused me to have to bring my bike back from a trip to the mountains in the back of a uhaul! :nixweiss: >:( >:(

Parts book refers to it as a solenoid.

I was riding down the main stretch in Gatlinburg TN and it cut off. Tried to restart it. It would turn over but would not fire up. It did not sound right at all when I tried to restart it. Don't know how to explain but it just sounded very deferent than it usually sounds when cranking. Had power to the lights etc.  They replaced the part and I have not had any more problems with it since. Just wondering how common this was.

It is sounding like it is more common than we thought. Same thing has happened to a few people on this site.

The ACR wires burn in two on the rear cylinder.     One or two even had the ACR blow out of the rear head.

It might have been possible that when the wires that burned in two,it blew the main fuse. Carry a spare fuse "maxi" with you from now on in case it happens again.

Good luck and welcome
