Cracking Paint
« on: April 12, 2009, 05:16:10 AM »

I own a blue SERK-3 with barely 3400 miles.  I purchased it in December of 2006 and have always garaged and babied it.  When I was washing it up the other day, I noticed a 1.5 inch crack in the paint on the side of the tank.  Has anybody else had this problem?  Any recommendations on what to do to prevent it from getting worse?

:worthless:  Take a pic of it and then take it back to the dealer and tell them you want a new tank via warranty (for Free!).

I should have known better than to post thie without pics...  I'll post some pics as soon as I get home (away on business).

As far as warranty goes, I plan to take it in, but I'm past the two year warranty and am now stationed away from where I originally purchased it.  I'm hoping the guys out in Vegas will be able to take care of me.

Ya, I hope they are considerate and help you out.  I take it you didn't get the extended warranty?  Good luck anyway ...
