I don’t mean to leave any country out. The last time I was at the post office I asked what the shipping cost would be to Canada and England because those where the countries that people were asking me to ship to.

I will ship any where now but I don’t have costs to every country so I asked on the web site that people who were interested to get in touch with me via email and I would get the cost for them. Eventually I will have the cost for most countries and update the web site accordingly.

The cost is the same to England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland. These are the four - separate -  countries that make up the UK, so it would be simplest to just list "UK" instead of England.

Some of you asked me if I had a device that would allow the passenger to talk also. Well you asked and I designed and over the past 2 months have tested the new HD Dual Seat Bomm. It operates like the HD Bluetooth Bomm but now your Significant Other can also talk.

So, Jim...  How does this product differ from the one that I installed (which was I think one of your original designs that uses the accessory switch)?  Is there enough of a difference/improvement that I would want to upgrade?

BIG differance  :o  in voice quality, the new design is compatable with many more phones and NO SWITCH.  ::)

When did you buy the model you have now?

Email me an we will discuss the cost to upgrade.

Jim

I will make the same upgrade offer to anyone who has an older model all you have to do is email me. I want to make every effort to give the best quality and functionality to all those who purchased the Bluetooth interface from me.

If you are in the area and want to ride down to my place I can hook you up with a test module in 30 seconds so you can try it out and if you decide you want it I will install it for you.

Jim,
I just dropped you an e-mail with some questions.
But as I read this thread on CVO I thought of another question;
Is it possible to just have a modual that would plug into the HD 7 pin dash and have the 7 pin headset cord plug into the modual?
thanks

You just described the test module I use when people stop by. It has a 7 pin male and female connector and just plugs into the helmet hook-up cord. The problem with it is that the 2.5mm plug has to be routed to the Zumo and it is unsightly to say the least. When people are testing it on the road I run this cord over the tank, wrap it around the ignition switch and route it to their Zumo leaving a bit of slack in the cord so you can turn the bars. It is also easy for someone to take if you leave it on the bike while you are in a store, etc. Unless you want to remove it and then reinstall it every time you leave the bike. The nice part is that you don't have to take the fairing apart or cut and solder the wire and it is movable from bike to bike. I can make one for you if that is the way you want to go.

Hi Jim,

Of course I just got done replying to your e-mail before I read your answer to my post here. Sorry for the double questions.

Ahh, yes, I forgot the external 2.5 mm plug for the mic on the zumo.
That externa application would add to the exposed wire clutter for sure.
Thanks for the offer to make that for me but I think I'd prefer the hidden version better.

Dumb, maybe, but if my phone is off, my 2003 Ultra radio will work on intercom and CB as usual, right? Or will I have to unplug the mic at the zumo when my phone is off?

Thanks again for your speedy reply via e-mail

The Harley Audio System will continue to work as advertised with or without the Bomm installed. It does not matter if the phone is on or off, the radio functions are not effected in any manner by installing the Bomm. It interfaces completly with the stock Harley Radio's whether it is the Harmon Kardon or the Sound Design. If your helmet microphone works with your radio then it will work with the Bomm.

Just to reiterate the HD Bomm is NOT designed to work with the hand held microphone. If you are using a hand held microphone don't waste your time with the HD Bomm.

Kudos to Jim.

I ordered the HD BOMM and received it about 3 days later.  Instructions were complete and accurate, installation was easy, and it works perfectly!

Nice to see a small business with quality product and service at a good price.

The Bomm is now a bit larger in diameter. It was ¾” and is now 1 ¼”. I switched out a few components in order to compensate for the low microphone volume that some of the Zumo 660’s exhibit. Unfortunately I had to compromise with increasing the size or changing the container which I want to keep.

The upgraded components doubles the Bomm’s microphone output, which helps with the new Zumo 660 and doesn’t overdrive the microphone input circuits of either the 550 or 660. It also takes care of the problem the Bomm was having with some J&M or IMC headsets.

I won’t be re-writing the installation instructions as the larger diameter will not interfere with the placement it still fits where the instructions show.

Hi Jim,

I've also dropped you an email.. I've got two of your BOMM's both with Zumo 660's and have the low mike input problem.
However i'm thinking of upgrading to the J&M elite headset with their High Output mic. Do you think this will help?

Or should I be upgrading?

Thanks
Chris.
