Sounds great based on the description. But a picture of the seat would have been great! Hopefully someone has already bought one they can photograph and share or maybe live close enough to these guys to pay them a visit and report back.

Got in touch with them. They are working on the first one and will not have it ready for another couple of weeks.

Yikes, they sure are proud of those seats.  We need someone like Danny Gray to step in and make us a seat.

I was very intrigued by the description of how the seat will complement the lines and overall look of the bike. They forwarded a picture of another seat on a bike (non-FXSBSE) as an exmaple of what to expect and it looked like an aftermarket solo fatboy seat. Very nice but nothing out of the ordinary. If the BO seat is the same style then the price is too high. Need to wait and see the final result before making the call, I guess.

I called him about my Street Glide. Not cheap but real high quality stuff. I called him about maybe doing mine but I asked about color to match etc and he said he would need my bike while building the seat to make sure it got color matched perfectly.

From what I hear they're pretty nice.

That's my one beef with having a BO. The aftermarket support is tepid at best.  Try and get an ape hanger and discover the lack of wiring harness, brake/clutch lines, etc, etc. Finally getting more choices than the V&H Big Radius. It goes on and on. But the seat situation is the worst. What is available doesn't look as good as what the bike comes with in the first place, IMO. So $900 for a seat that kinda looks like the stock seat. The same look and feel for a fatboy is less than $400.

For now, I've decided to get rid of the prominent aluminum bolts based on the research done by harley_charley on hdforum (thank you Charley) and keep on waitin'...
