Title: New Picture Posted
Post by: Johnny on August 07, 2005, 02:27:34 AM
Dont know if anyone noticed, but when I went to the HD site to look again at the Ultra they had changed the main pic from the black/slate model to the Autum Haze/Vivid Black one.  It looks quite different that the smaller pic in the color window - not bad looking.

But that tour pack is starting to grow on me!

Wish it was detachable!

That's the photo out of the sales literature that I mentioned in another thread somewhere here.  That would be my color of choice on one of these, I think.

The bike looks lowered to me in that picture. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Yeah, 'er 'uh, 103tHunDer,
I'd bet you're right. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]  It has definitely been lowered. [smiley=yes.gif]  Glad to see some positive feedback on the New Ultra!  Thought for a while, I was gonna' be the Lone Ranger! [smiley=cowboy.gif]  Every Harley we've had, all of us, is no more than something for us to build on.  To mold and sculpt as a reflection of our personality.  Ya'll all know mine.  Chrome it, Punch it, Clean it, put it in the Trailer, [smiley=trailer.gif] unload it at the destination, (if it ain't raining!) and ride it WFO! [smiley=rifle.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]  Later--HUBBARD

I actually like the green better but the whole thing is growing on me as well.  The solid attached leather pack looks good to me and it rids the whole stealing worry bit.  I may even get another one this year to add to my bike collection.  The big seat has me drooling a bit as well.  I am glad they did not make a yellow one since that would make the decision too easy as my yellow Duck won't even look at the Chicken and I was hoping for some grandbananas.  I love the screamin chicken, despite some minor frustrations with HD and getting the Zippers stuff sorted out and hope any CVO newbies have as good of a time with their new rides as I have.    Don't forget that Dougs in Florence SC was very fair with me and makes for a nice place to visit and pick one up under the SC $300 Sales tax cap.  Ask for Wanda who is a neat lady to do business with.  JP [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

I agree.  IMO, that would be one sharp looking bike if the tour pak were painted the same as the bags, tank and front fender....Autumn on top, burgundy graphic, then the black.  Maybe someone (more skillful than me) could do a Photoshop mockup showing what it would look like?

How's this? I'm sure someone here can do better but it gives you a rough idea. I kind of like it!

Yep, I like 'em both MUCH better with the matching tour pak.  I hereby nominate you as this forum's representative and consultant to HD's product design team.

The SEEG is the first bike I've had in a long time that didn't have wide whites.  I thought I liked wide whites (ok, on the Road Kings I did like 'em).  But right away I found out I really really like not cleaning wide whitewalls.  In fact I like not cleaning them all the time even more than I liked having them to begin with  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

I stopped by the dealer last night, they had a watermelon on the floor. The pinstripe colors make it look like their trying to appeal to the crotch rocket crowd. Lime green....  What color are the pin stripes on the Autumn Haze??? has any one seen one?????

Wow does the painted tour pak make a big difference in the overall look. As far as the whitewalls......to me they are butt ugly. But to each their own.  [smiley=beerchug.gif]

I like it ...a couple of judiciously placed yellow pom-poms on the tourpack some streamers on the handle bars  [smiley=pimp.gif] [smiley=pimp2.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] Thanks ! whitewalls are off the list.

Maybe the way to go with this bike is the black fairing bra, tank cover, lid cover and any other black covers availble to hide the paint.

I think the leather Tour pack is IMHO "the chit."  This isn't just another, everything painted to match Ultra.  Oh yea, loose the whitewalls, and add a jelapeno [smiley=jalapeno.gif] to the green one.
