Very clean Skooby, I like those filler strips too.  Are they running lights, brake lights or turn signals or "D"........all the above??

Hey JCZ,  thier "C"...lol... I think.  I got em hooked up as running lamps and brake lights.  They wouldn't do a whole lot of good as turn signals being tucked away behind the saddle bags unless your directly behind me.

Are those strips a manufactured piece available as they're shown there or a set of standard pieces that have been worked on?  If the can be purchased as they are there, where'd they come from?

Twolanerider,  the filler strips come available in chrome or bare metal for custom painting.  I do know the cost is $200+ per set.  I got mine off Ebay for half of what they retailed.  I know the name of the mfg but can't think of it right now [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Have snooped around a bit through a few vendors web sites and can't find the lighted filler plates.  Would probably buy 'em if I could find 'em.  Anyone know a source?

I'm also interested in a good trailer hitch. Does anyone have any experience with the N-line trailer set-up? The stock filler strips on the SEEG look like they would have to be trimmed to be used with the needed V-logo. Unless I'm missing something, that would be the only way to get to the bolts on the fender. Also, on another post I made, the turn signals on my 01 Road King never were the same after I put a hitch on it. They blink normally for three blinks and then start blinking rapidly. As long as the trailer is hooked up, they operate just fine. When I traded it off, I took the trailer wiring off and the signals returned to normal. Is there some kind of converter I should have used to keep that from happening ?

I'm not sure if a load equalizer would solve that problem or not.  I know they added one to mine.

additional load will affect your TSSM and Security module. I'm on my second Ultra and have been using an electrical isolator. Bought it from www.electricalconnection.com
This is the same unit BushTec uses and is offered through Kuryakyn and others.
Isolator draws power directly from battery as opposed to the system. Others offer an isolator- www.dauntlessmotors.com and www.kriss.com
Hope this helps

The nicest looking hitch I have found is made by Hitchdoc.  I just installed one on my 2005 SEEG.  There are 2 models for the Electra Glides... the one I installed has a removable receiver and ball.  The frame is the only thing that stays on, and it only leaves a very high quality chrome strip showing.

I also had one of their hitches on my 94 Ultra Classic... very high quality.
