Look at this picture and tell me what you think
« on: September 26, 2008, 02:26:43 PM »

I want to add a graphic to the side tank that matches the fender/tank. I also want to do the same thing to the painted console. http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Photos/BJN50863.jpg  Use your imaginations and give me your opinions. While I'm at it how about extending the black part of the rear fender to the front of the rear fender below the strut.

That battery cover is kinda sparse, maybe chrome a strip.  Beauty bike though!   :2vrolijk_21:

Man, I need my sunglasses when looking at that thing!!! It's sooo bright!  I agree though, add something there, chrome or try to mimic the paint there.

Have the same issue with my bike. I have acquired an additional battery cover that I am going to have painted to match the red and then have a matching flame or two put on. I think the flow of the flames from the tank to the rear fender is interrupted by the blank battery box. I would think you could get a high quality painter to match the graphic/paint scheme from your tank for a portion of the battery box. Have seen your bike a few times (including this afternoon at Lakeville HD) and it is a beauty! Looking forward to see what you come up with.

That looks fantastic! Agree with the flush mount fuel and gauge caps & extending the graphic lower on the rear fender. Would give you a one-of-a-kind bike.

FYI on the Flush Mounts.......DON'T......My friend has been back 3 times because of the lights going out.....he say's if it goes back one more time he will convert back to OEM.

BTW....you're bike looks great without 'em.  I am going to have my boxes painted as well.

I am using the Küryakyn flush mount vented gas cap with the flush mount Informer L.E.D. fuel gauge and an L.E.D. battery gauge. A set runs around $ 120 and it looks extremely good on the CVO Springer and on the CVO Fat Bob. I use it on my custom Fatboy, which has the same instrument concole as the CVO Springer.

Ride safely,
Louis

The flush mount leds went out on mine also after 2 weeks.  Dealer replaced and haven't had an issue yet.  I really think they finish the Fat Bob tank.  Surely you've all seen the chrome bands I've added to mine.  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=32712.0
