[size=14 I LIVE IN SO CALIF - OWN HD SPORTSTER CUSTOM 03 ANNIV. WILL KEEP THIS BIKE AND WANT TO DEMO THE NEW 2009 HD TRIKE - SO SENT OUT EMAILS TO ALL THE LOCAL SO CALIF DEALERS ASKING IF THEY HAVE ONE (SINCE THEY ONLY WERE ADVERSTISED RECENTLY BY THE MANUF. AND MOST HD BIKES COME OUT SEPT FORWARD I SEE SOMEONE HAS POSTED ABOUT THEM - WONDERING WHEN THEY MIGHT BE A DEMO - YOU WILL GET DIFFERENT ANSWERS FROM DIF. DEALERS. IF THEY REALLY WANT YOU TO BUY ONE THEY WILL GET A DEMO - I WROTE TO THE MANUF AS WELL - AND EMAILED THEM - WE WILL SEE. SOMETIMES HD DOES NOT WORK WITH US - THE OWNERS/RIDERS - ALMOST LIKE THEY HAVE YOU HOOKED SO WHY GO FURTHER FOR YOU? YOU WILL COME AROUND TO THEM - NOT ALWAYS.

i got the response about the DEMO's there won't be any until 2010 for the 2009 Ultra Classic 09 Trike.
I emailed all of the So Calif Dealerships early this morning - and got 4 replies back - one was rude - i told him never mind ill just cross you off any list i might have for a dealership.....don't need rude..

but the 09 trike is for sale only now - most dealers will get only 2 trikes per dealership to sell. only 2400 will be delevered to the dealerships. (not many) but im sure HD wants to see how they go over and its an awesome bike at that - i jut told my neighbor who has a fatboy 06 and he and his gf are gonna go look it up. the MORE people request the trike the better it is for any of us that really want one. the More HD will distribute. One dealership Fullerton already sold one - and rolled it off the showroom floor.

this dealership Fullerton told me that in 2010 they will have an 09 for DEMO. but not now. cause its new. FIGURES

My father called about a hour ago. He was on his way home from Stormy Hill HD outside of Orlando, FL with his new '09 Tri Glide in Sunglo Red.

We were at the York PA. dealership on Thursday, they had one 09 on the floor, and what looked like an 07-08 Lehman, both red. Don't know if they were sold or not. Washington DC PD has them on the streets already doing traffic control, saw one Halloween night in Georgetown.
Our dealership in CA is scheduled for 6 of them this year (09). He's trying to get one for a demo, but, you know how money talks.

PS: Word in Europe about the Tri-Glide is that dealers need to commit to a certain number, probably 100 altogether, before the bike gets introduced over here. We'll see. I think it is a very good expansion of H-D's product line. As people get older handling an E-Glide becomes more difficult and a Tri-Glide is really a good option. My 2 cents.

i think u got it spot on there Louis, the european dealers have to gang up 2gether against the moco in order to get models into europe, i have heard the exact same things from various dealers. Once moco see^s there is enough interest europe will get a few more bikes/trikes over, maybe as the recession hits usa deeper and deeper europe will get more of the rarer models, as long the european economy stays bouyant.

Glendale HD just sold a trike to a woman who is a paraplegic. Her husband helped the dealership rig a push button gear shifter and dual hand brake! He will be riding on the back. I thought it was beautiful. So, the trikes are out there. Also take a look at So. Cal Trikes on Overland in Culver City. They do customs and conversions.
