Rear Passanger Footpegs ?
« on: May 15, 2009, 10:15:39 AM »

Does anyone have problems with the rear passanger footpegs vibrating down when riding ?  For instance when I have an opportunity to enjoy the torque and feel of the 110 engine. (Getting on it ) The rear footpegs will be down when I stop. I have tightened them and they seem like they are in a fixed position and do not rattle or seem to be loose. Thanks for your input.....Jeff

having the rear footpegs down helps with airodynamics, just like 2 lil spoilers either side giving u some down thrust on the rear.

actually i have a problem with my right rider foot peg, which moves to the up position if i ride a speed with my feet on the passenger footpegs (while travelling long distance), i just live with it, no solution other than keep my feet on the rider foot pegs

I know a person needs to check the now and again. My front right for some reason works its way loose. I just check them before I ride. But its annoying to stop, park and look down and see that there down. Because the SE Springer is such a head turner. maybe its just me.

My left rear does it but for some reason only half way and only when I'm really getting on it. During normal city driving I have no problems.

I had this problem too but found that if I turned the 'shims' around ( the thin metal spacers between peg and bracket which are slightly convex ) the pegs were tighter and it hasnt happened since :orange:

Are there supposed to be springs in the front pegs to keep them down?  There are not in mine, but I thought that was standard on front foot pegs.

Hmmm, my passenger pegs have done the same thing to me several times now, hopefully one of these fixes works.
