I've the same concern about the noise level of these pipes, like the look very much but sure I'll be not ridding for a mile before I get stopped by the cops.

On the other end the pipes sounds very harsh and do not seems to provide the cool deep sound I'm looking for. So I have maybe found a solution to get both look and wanted sound by adding Big Thunder City - Quality Quiet Baffles:

Greetings    Lolo

I ran this set up on my 04 Low Rider, Loved them, Friend of mine is running them on his 06 Wide Glide, We had the db level checked before we went to Myrtle Beach his hit 110 db's at idle, MB max level is 87, I'm running V&H Big Shots with the BCT QQ baffles on my 07 SERK (110 c.i.) and mine idled at 108 db's  :2vrolijk_21:

Did you notice any power gains when you changed out the baffles?

If I remember seems like 3 0r 4 hp and apoox. 6 to 8 on the tq side, Something i just caught in your post, I was running BCT Thunder Monster Baffel, not the QQ Baffel they were not even out then. The buddy of mine that is running V&H Big Radius with the Thunder Monster and his has a deep tone to them, Deeper than my Big Shots with the QQ Baffel.

... If you want to piss the neighbors off then get the 2-2. ...

Just picked up my Springer today equiped with the V&H big radius 2-2, very nice design I was looking for but interesting to notice that not only you can definitely piss your neighbors off but also piss yourself off so it's noisy  :-\ !

Does anybody know if there is an other alternative to BTC QQ Baffle to reduce the noise level?

Thanks in advance

Greetings    Lolo

Duece, Like the look of the pipes! Do you no if they will fit the 09's? My 2-1's raise the foot peg on right side and the little lady doesn't like that.

from what I hear they do fit...... :2vrolijk_21:

To my ears the stock sounds better, more motor-like. The VH sounds like a pipe bubbling underwater.

With V&H baffel they do sound like they are bubbling, but if you change the baffel to BCT Thunder Monster's they sound nothing like that. db level with stock harley pipes is 80db, Big Radius with BCT Thunder Monster's 109db at idle, That's on a 06 Wide Glide with 88 c.i., I have V&H Big Shots with the QQ baffel on my SERK (110) it idles at 108db.

I have the V&H Big Radius 2-2 and like the look but man are they loud.  I'm going to put a set of V&H 2-1 on and see if i get less looks from my neighbors , and the cops!

The 2 into 1's are not near as loud as the one's you have, another friend that rides with us put them on his super glide, you will get better performance from the 2 into 1, and they sound pretty decent.

I've heard from a number of people that the performance is better.  This makes sense as some back pressure is created.  Good to hear this from somebody on the site.  I guess I better plan on having my programming checked after installing these to make sure I get the most performance

I just changed from 2-2 over to 2-1.  A lot quieter and better performance.  I haven't had it dyno'd, but that's next.
