I also took the PCV off as it would not allow the seat to go back on properly.

This has been discussed before. PCV doesn't fit, see other posts such as the one above.

I will let everyone know next week if it fits or not. I ordered the PCV from Fuel Moto and here is what they had to say about it fitting.

"Hello, we have had no issues with installs on this model. It is a tight fit under the seat but it comes with a replacement ECM tray. Your pipe should be here today and we will get everything shipped out.

Thank you.........Jamie"

I will let everyone know.......

There is no tray to replace on the ConV. The ECM is bolted on the fender now. It used to bolt to a plastic tray that was removable but this was changed. Just for grins you may want to ask Jamie if he has seen the ConV mounting.

Let us know how it works out.

Well....All I can say is the one Jamie sent me did not fit! The problem I had was getting the seat back to the original position, there simply is not enough room under there. Now with that said I have been told that if you turn the ECM side ways so that the connector is not facing down it may work.

The ConV is a different beast, if you look at my thread on LEDs you will note that HD used a Dyna connector on it. So unless Fuelmoto has actually tried the PCV on the FLSTSE I think he is assuming it will fit. Jamie service is top notch and he will take care of you I'm sure.

I hope it works out for you.

Thanks for the help and advice guys.

Jamie(Fuel Moto) called me and to make the PCV work, you have to make some modifications and its still really tight.I have decided not to even try it now.

So how does the ThunderMax w/autoTune work?

Since its a complete replacement it shouldn't be an issue with the fit.

I'm just concerned if you totally replace the ECM, did Harley do anything to the ECM on the CVO? Digitail spedo, etc that could be a problem...

Would it affect the warranty?

I read Graybeards post that it has worked out great for him and the dealer that installed it said they would honor the full bike warranty.

As for the TMax, I have about 400 miles on it so far.. and no problems. The AFR is where I want it, performance is great, and all the HD bells and whistles (speedo, 6th gear light, alarm, etc) work fine.

And yes, no problem with the ECM fit. Also, Zippers support was really great. They recommended MAP 413 or 545 depending on the payload.

YPGuy,

If you don't want to replace the ECM you should look at the TTS. Along with the TMax the reports have been very positive for the folks that have it on the ConV (myself included). Since you are retain the stock computer you do not lose any functionality like the EITMS but after an exhaust upgrade and a good tune you probably won't need it except for the hottest of days.
