For the least amount of hassle in trying to match it, Gunslingers is your best bet.  I was very pleased with their work on my inner fairing in Teg Sunrise on my SG. If you have them do the work, send them a side cover to get an exact match.  So many things affect paint color, and Gunslingers are perfectionists.

You are right though, no chopped in our color.

If you have a painter that knows how to mix colors and perfect matches, the color can be replicated! And it's a 4 stage color.  This was done by a local painter but he's amazing in his attention to detail.  The match is spot on.

FWIW, Gunslingers is about an hour away from me, and even so, my local painter would be my first choice.  Gunslingers is very busy, and during fall/winter, they can have long turnaround times.

I would highly recommend Joe from Xtreme Dimension.  He is a member on this forum and has done some work for me that I can only describe with one word "Perfectionist"

Check out pictures he has posted of his work.   ::)
