Looking for real world pics or videos of Cvo street glides, black and grey preferably.

do you own the orange and black yet
if so congrats sharp bike
I'm not gonna start negotiating with my dealer until it comes in. I wont spend $40K if it's not a good color Orange.
Not what I think of when I think of an orange and black Harley. :-\I was hoping it was a brighter orange so I was a bit disappointed when I pulled the cover off it after it was unloaded off the truck. It's nice looking but too much like the 15 CVO RGU I traded. Going with the Starfire Black/Atomic Red instead.
Interesting comment by the sales dude while I was looking at the red/black. He mentioned he didn't like the black on the bike because it was "soft" paint. Have no idea what he was talking about as the whole bike is clear coated just like any other color. Strange comment I thought...
It weird to me that there is no "feeding frenzy" on the 2017s. I remember when I was searching for my 15, if a dealer had one, it was over MSRP and it was rare to even see one. Now, there are a number of 16s just sitting and the 17s are coming in and selling, but they seem kind of easy to get....
been looking for a blue/black 16 or 17 here in Michigan
found two black/greys so far the hunt continues
Although I am a sucker for a black and orange bike I am looking at the gray/black as a better alternative this year as it "hides" the crappy graphic pattern. That in its self is a pretty condemning statement on the color patterns HD chose to put on these bikes. Need to see both in person before making a final decision. Truth be told if it wouldn't be for losing the sales tax credit on the 15 I sold through the dealer I most likely would wait to see what the 2018 graphics pattern would offer. How long until you lose that credit? I'm still thinking there's going to be another model added to the lineup by January.
Probably just me but I think every SG CVO is beautiful. Heck I loathe green, and even the 11 Krypto SG is beautiful in my eyes.
I don't think every FLHXSE is beautiful but I do agree with you about the Krypto and I personally can't stand green anything.
Agreed x2. Only bike prettier is the bike we have Swerve.Haha looks are subjective to each individual my friend but it appears you and I share the same tastes!

Jeez .....get a room!! :huepfenlol2:
You buyin? :coolblue:
another corking colour!
Yup you know it !,
My dealers got a cracking deal on my part ex of my hard candy mercury flhxse against his used 2012 ruby flhxse, ... just so i can be in your club!!! :huepfenjump3:
only busting your balls buddy!!
Seriously though i was going to wait till next year but i want to avoid next years "Anniversary year bikes", with the silly wing badge motifs and the gastly colour combo's the've done in previous years, also i don't think much will change to next years tourers i think all the attention will be on the softails and dyna's getting 107 engines etc,
2019 model year i think harley will drop in a better mark 2 version of the sat nav, with better graphics, faster etc to rival Indians new infotainment system.
I mean how can anyone not love this years bikes, i think all this years colour combos are good! :2vrolijk_21:
Guys, the paint jobs make no sense! It doesn't even look right with how they flipped it. Take CVO off the bike and we'd all be laughing. Some already are.Yeah, I gotta agree with you on this. The more I see it, the more it stands out. Maybe the black one won't be as noticeable.

....now I can't NOT notice it.
Jesus Christ, exactly why I never come on this site. A guy could go out and put a JIMS 135" in his bike and some asswipe would bitch that he might get chitty gas mpg with the new motor.

Yep totally agree with you fired00dTrue... even though there hasn't been enough to move "my soul" into purchasing there has been something to "appreciate" about the innovations/improvements (that's what keeps my "list" of upgrades/improvements not fulfilled, and why I just keep improving what I have :D).
That's 11 bikes with colour schemes you ve loved over the years and I'm the same as are many others , a Harley has to " speak to you" to part with your cash , however I bet you never dissed 11 other Harley colour schemes you may have hated, I' m sure you were a gentleman and kept those opinions to yourself.
We're all entitled to our opinions of course we are, it's just the same opinions all to often that tires me!.

Well said that man!!
Seems to many people bitch about how they hate every model year wether it's the colour , graphics etc, there's been 16 colour choices since 2012, ( no flhxse in 2014) and 1 Rushmore upgrade and now the new engine and suspension but some still find something not to like..... Until maybe they have sufficient funds then strangely the bike is perfect without fault ..... Funny that!
Don't worry about that. I made sure I let the HD reps that visited us in MV last year know about it too. Lot's of us have been bitching about the lack of creativity on the bikes the last few years. 14 and 15 Limiteds with the same paint just different colors. 11, 15 and 16 FLTRUSE with damn near the same paint scheme AND colors not to mention the Black SEEG that has surfaced in 12 and 15 that are so close you have to look at the VIN to tell what year it is...
The same opinion you're flaming me for is identical to yours being for the colors. I have the funds for a new bike, could have already traded on a 2016 and now 2017. But, why? Why trade for a bike that just doesn't do it for you? I love everything HD is doing with their bikes, I really do. But, I'm just not happy with their paint ideas lately and I've talked to numerous people who agree.
Again, I guess that's the wrong thing to talk about on this forum. Saying that HD didn't quite hit a home run with their paint scheme. Unreal if that's the case.

How you can say sufficient funds when we all have CVO's on here is just laughable. You like the paint and state it, I don't like the paint and state it. Yet, I'm wrong.
just like some compare who has the highest mileage on there bike as if it's some contest or something , I don't see it like that as long as you enjoy every mile you put on your bike who cares the number,
I like the new engine color....it's like really more of a dark grey. That being said....I've always loved chromed out motors. For close to $40K sticker, you should be able to get the blacked motor or chrome with any color combo. That's just my opinion.....
Ah the douchebag mileage braggin' club... :coolblue:that hurts J...since ive only put 7800+ miles on the new bike...that i picked up on july 7th :o ??? ;)
Hmm interesting you say that , I'm undecided on colours too , anyone seen the blue one outside , if so does it have a purple hue to it ?
We're not as fortunate in UK as dealers only get CVO's in on secured deposits ,so you have to order "blind" so to speak and hope you've chosen the right colour .. Rotten really!
Ah the douchebag mileage braggin' club... :coolblue:so i better not mention the 48k + miles i have on the 2013
seen one yesterday at a Harley demo ride in the rain yes imo it has a purple hue to it
Agree on the motors! I'd have a 15/16 black CVO SG if I could get the chrome motor. Instead I'm undecided and haven't bought. Price is going to decide instead of color at this point. I like all the colors on chrome motor CVO SGs about the same, so the best deal will end up in the garage. You know I love you big guy.

Don't think that's what Jesse was implying. IMO I think he was speaking to those that are fortunate (for whatever reasons... desire, weather, finances, lack of family obligations, what have you) to accumulate a lot of miles try to belittle those that don't, while others (for whatever reasons... desire, weather, finances, family obligations, what have you) don't accumulate a lot of miles. My thought is as long as you enjoy riding when you do, and you are still riding (little or a lot) then it doesn't concern me (nor should it be my concern) one way or the other. :nixweiss:Ah the douchebag mileage braggin' club... :coolblue:(http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=109372.0;attach=295477;image)

Sounds like the bragging subject changed a little. :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:Hell yea!!! :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:
Someone must have real in the daylight photos!?
I saw the black/grey today and to say the least I was disappointed. The grey is so dark that from 10 feet away the bike looks solid black. Just not for me I will hold on to the old kryptonite for awhile longer.

17's look good I think, new motor is interesting........I think all CVO's look good in their own way, I remember seeing a video ad for a CVO before I bought my '12 new, the guy said "it's not a bike that everyone gets" & I had to have one. Would I buy a new '17? Maybe, but since I bought my '12 I haven't seen anything yet that just makes me have to have one.I concur....Your's is the only other Ruby I've seen with the flame bag latches.... nice choice!

Haha no brother. I did talk with a salesmen and walk around the orange and black CVO SG. Didn't care for it but told him to find me the blue one it had peaked my curiosity. He located one and sent these photos. It's in St. Paul, MN if anyone is interested. Nice ride but mine is paid for and they put a little too much of the secondary color on the rear for my liking. They only offered me 22k for my '12wwhat...22k,,,thats more than they was wanting to give me on my 13 when i was talking trade :o

:2vrolijk_21:Yes, Dave still works there! Tiny does too.
Dave Reuland still work there? I believe his son Dave Jr. joined the team also
Twins?
I drove 120 miles this AM to lay my eyes on a gray and black bike. I have now seen all but the blue bike. As others have said it was underwhelming. I am partial to dark bikes and may very well end up with this color but from 10 feet away it looks black. In defense of the color, it does hide the awkward graphics on this years CVO. If you want a "look at me" bike, this color combination is definitely not for you. Of the bikes I have seen the O/B looks I guess as striking as any. Red..meh...just not my color...and have not seen the blue.Same thing I told Dave when he bought his new Batwing and was wanting an RG. Buy the bike that grabs you and if the engine isn't big enough, do the Stage3 upgrade from a 107 to a 114.
There was an orange Street Glide Special sitting next to the CVO with a color matched inner fairing and it was much more striking than the CVO bike. Go figure. Seeing these bikes I came away with a gnawing feeling of maybe just buying a regular street glide special and calling it a day would be an option. For the $11K in price difference you could really make a bike that would be just what you wanted....But then you would take it in the shorts when trade in time came. No real winner here. Just my thoughts. What do the rest of you guys think? Thanks for listening.

Well I guess thats why God makes chocolate and vanilla because in person i absolutely love the red/black and the orange/black CVO SG. I guess Im just crazy
HD are you listening!!!!!!????Ya,right!
The Orange on my new 2017 is not my ideal Orange. I too almost bought the Laguna Orange Streetglide or Roadglide . At the end of the day I have owned a CVO Since 2000, I guess I wanted to stay in the club.

The graphics on the 2017 CVO's leave a whole lot to be desired. 👎👎
UGLY!!!

I had my local parts guy figure out what it would cost to build that bike with a 114 motor....well over 40k. And no you would not get that kind of money back when it was time to trade. Cool bike though.
Not crazy at all my friend, just different tastes. That's why they make different color combos. Just wish they would have made different paint schemes not crazy about the layout.
Nice! Enjoy! :2vrolijk_21:Thanks man!! I am enjoying this weather in GA right now for sure. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170113/31111a69ad8258c27a0a600aeac737fa.jpg)
17 CVO Street GlideSweeeet... can't go wrong w/Orange & Black (I'm biased) :2vrolijk_21:... You should go to the New Member Introduction (https://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?board=30.0) board, start a new thread and introduce yourself.
17 CVO Street GlideBike looks terrific with the TP!
