Pics of your SG with a Tour Pack
« on: September 13, 2009, 09:59:32 AM »

I would like to see your SG with the Tour Pack installed. Is it easy to remove? Solo seat and Two up. I am thinking of ordering the Tour pack for my SESG just looking' for some input.
Thanks!

Like you, I'm anxious to see the painted to match stuff, also.  I'm thinkin the quick release tour pack will go on and off much like they did up through the 08 MY.   Are you expecting something different?

I believe that I am one of the first to order the color matched leg fairings and King Tour pack however, they've still not arrived.  I have a few other surprises coming, also (painted inner fairing).  As soon as they get here I'll be posting photos in my mods thread. :2vrolijk_21:

It's not available from the MoCo.  Having the painter that Jim uses.  The same painter that the dealerships in the bay area use.  A little pricey but he does top drawer work. :2vrolijk_21:

No.....that's not what I'm saying.  I provided the part numbers for the color matched King tour pack and leg fairings.  What you read above is in regards to the question about the inner fairing.

Hawg, the thread regarding painted tour pack and leg fairings for the Candy Concord (BLUE!) can be seen by clicking here.........  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=39901.0

JCZ...I'm going to follow your lead on purchasing the detachable King Tour Pak. A couple follow-on questions though.  What, if any, hinges are installed when you order #79071-10DEH...all the pics in the catalog look like they ship with premium Tour Pak hinges (79211-08A @ $49.95)...or do you need to order these separately?  Also, the catalog states (pg 384) the King Tour Pak for the FLHX models includes a pre mounted radio antenna base and the antenna relocation kit for the FLHX (pg 626) indicates not for FLHXSE...so what, if any, parts need to be ordered to hook up the radio?  Keep blazing the way on figuring all this out for us....for us novices these posts are priceless!!!

I've already got the Tune Trapper hidden antenna up in the fairing.  I spend most of my time listening to XM, anyway.  If it comes with the tour pack antenna mount, I'll be removing that and putting a chrome button head or cap bolt in there, like I did on my SEEG tour pack. :nixweiss:  The tour pack is for function and will not be on my bike except when travelling distance and days. :2vrolijk_21:

By the way......like most CVO painted stuff, you can expect a long wait once you place the order.  Oddly enough, the tour pack spoiler has came in.....that's the only painted item that came in. :nixweiss:

I found a Grey Ghost pic that has the single seat with the tour pack  :2vrolijk_21: great looking ride there :2vrolijk_21:
I also found a pic of a SESG with a matched tour pack in Spiced Rum  :2vrolijk_21:
I am not sure if you can post other peoples pics of their bikes or the links to them on another thread without their permission? :nixweiss:

I'm having my guy look into the painted inner fairing as well. Strange that it's not available from the MoCo. I noticed in your linked post that all of the color-matched parts end with the same color code, why can't they just attach that color code to the end of the inner fairing part number?

Wonder what would happen if they tried it?

Just odd ... ya know?

Heard back from my guy on the inner fairing paint to match. He explained it as different pieces may come from different vendors, and the vendors that supply inner fairings may not be setup yet with the SESG paint codes.

Either way it looks like for now the only way to get one is to have an outside painter shoot it.

The painted to match tour pack came for my Candy Concord BLUE (not grape....no purple in it! :huepfenlol2:) and it does not have antenna mounts. :2vrolijk_21:

And I just realized that the tour pack on the SERG is an Ultra Classic King Tour Pack (notice the lights in the rear corner) that somebody had painted to match.

I've posted pictures of my tour pack in the thread on my mods.

My Spiced Rum won't be in until November and by that time it will be snowing here!  So, while I'm out riding the snowmobile all winter, I was wondering; how much was the King Tour Pak w/ det for the Street Glide?

with custom paint to match, bracket for mounting to your docking points, custom hinges, new lock keyed to yours, and backrest, about 1100. I have a set of lower fairings available for that bike too.

I was afraid of that, I think I paid about $750 for the det King Tour Pak on my '08.  My dealer gives me 20% off on all accessories since I buy my bikes from him, so that should help.

I have been looking into the tour pak as well. First and foremost there appears to be a major misprint in the Harley parts book with the Razor pack costing 1999.99 for concord and tequlia while spiced rum is only 999.99. Then looked into the King tour pack and that was piced at 1199.99 for all colors. The mid sized (of course the one I want) they are not making it in the 3 street glide colors for this year. I think my t-bag will continue to work just fine.

There are some graphics, this thread shows the one JCZ was having the CVO King TP put on his bike.  No pics yet of it mounted.

No idea what is on the sides :nixweiss:

That being said.  Larry B, I'm interested in one of your painted packs.  I think I want the lights, and/or something different from the others.  No rush though, It will be a long time fore I even have the bike.  I'll email or PM ya.

Not taking anything away from JC's TP.  I still believe words cannot describe the AWESOME :2vrolijk_21:

and I have been lurking around waiting to see the pics of it mounted.  Just FYI.

There are some graphics, this thread shows the one JCZ was having the CVO King TP put on his bike.  No pics yet of it mounted.

Hey Sapper6,

I'm assuming that's you in the picture, thank you for serving.  I have 12 years in the Army (FA Branch) myself.  Hopefully you're safe and home.

Thanks mike, and thank you for Your service.  If Arty is the King and Infantry is the Queen of Battle what are the Engineers?  Saps :nixweiss:

One day I will be safe and home and I'll let you know when that is.  I can't complain too much though, I have never been so well equipped, we had and have ample time to train and our optempo ain't bad.  Never had the internet like this before either.

Badger Mike,

Welcome to the site!  Have you introduced yourself yet?  If not you should go to the new member introductions page and put down a little something about yourself and your ride or rides.  Lets other people get to know you and you them.

If you do be sure to put up some pictures of your bike.  If you don't have it yet these guys here will definately help you with that and spending the rest of the money you don't have :2vrolijk_21:

Still trying to decide on the Vivid Black to match the painted inner fairing. May still go with ordering the color match Tour Pak? :nixweiss:

We're old Dean......we need a larger pic. :(

By the way, I see in your avatar......PG and Pioneer?  Man, you really have it rough......the best of both worlds.  You need to join the Nor Cal group for one of our rides.  Are you coming to Sacramento for the Easyrider Bike Show?  It's listed in Event Chatter.

Ok, here you go.

I would like to meet up for a ride, and am going to try my hardest to make it to bike show this year!

What do you mean?   The tour pack is there and about two feet behind it. :nixweiss:

with custom paint to match, bracket for mounting to your docking points, custom hinges, new lock keyed to yours, and backrest, about 1100. I have a set of lower fairings available for that bike too.
PM if interested

Larry, can you still make this happen??
