Hi, Been told by my dealer in UK, that my bike build date will be 12th February, so hopefuuly 4 weeks after that I should take delivery??

My wait is almost over!

I stated the order process with my dealer in late Sept. They were not allowed to order any SESG their last two order periods. All the SESGs they located at other dealers that could be transferred would have been $1 ~ $3k over MSRP. I was waiting for their next order period, 12/28 to see if they could lock in a ship date. On 12/21, the MoCo contacted my dealer and told them they were re-allocating Jan production and they would ship "my" Concord SESG on 1/21. Dealer called me Friday, (1/22) with the VIN #. It actually shipped 1/21!

I expect the bike to arrive this week. Hopefully I'll do a few small mods and then head to Daytona. With our current weather, my first ride will probably take place in FL. My buddy just took delivery of a Convertible and his first ride will also be in Fl.

I was at one of the dealers yesterday and a Spiced Rum will be arriving in March. No one has put deposit on this one yet! Will be the last phase for 2010.

I ordered mine in July...the day after it was unveiled at the Vegas dealer show. I just got shipping confirmation last week, so I should see it by next weekend? I passed on two spicy rums and a tequila sunrise which my dealer had ordered and since received over the last six months. Can't fault the dealership though...they let me know when I put my money down their allotment for the candy concord was not until Dec/Jan timeframe and tried to get me in one of the other colors earlier.

Several months since I placed my order and I have never seen a single candy concord on the road or in any of the surrounding dealerships...nor out of state dealerships (I travel a lot in my job). At least not until this last week...I was on a business trip to the Daytona Beach area and went to Bruce Rossmeyers. The dealership had not one but TWO candy concords' on the showroom floor. After seeing the bike in the candy concord for the first time I can say it was definitely worth the six month wait!

Ordered spiced rum sesg on July 27/09. Dealer called last week and said that it would be built on Feb 5 and shipped Feb 19. Should have it the first week of March. Can't wait.

mine comes in 2 weeks im very excited candy concorde i live in michigan but bought new bike from smokey mountain hd. my in laws live near there thats where i ride the most. really like it there. the mods will begin at dealership exhaust .tuner .chopped tour pack.thats it for now. ive never seen a spiced rum in real life but seen tequila and concorde. i think i picked the right color. who knows sure like jcs his bike is my screensaver. thanks for listening to me ramble on im just excited

This is pure torture. Mine is sitting in heated storage at the dealer, waiting for the tourpack and some other goodies....and waiting for the damned snow to melt. Just knowing it is sitting there, less than 3 miles from me, is killing me. To make matters worse, I didn't even have a bike last season (sold my RK in the fall of 08). I feel like a little kid, just before Christmas....waiting for that "Red Rider BB-Gun".

Well, it'll never be a CVO. And I hate to be the bearer of bad news but.............................there are periods of long wait. We went the route of "do it yourself" on the wife's 09 Red Hot Sunglo. You're waiting for parts, painter, assembly, etc. and it's still not a CVO. Also, I might add, at whatever great deals you can get, still very pricey.

I agree that it will never be a true CVO, but the drive train work is the only part that I would need done @ delivery time. The rest I actually enjoy doing in bits and pieces. The truth is that I'm not sure my wallet is ready! kb

And neither will anyone elses wallet be ready when you get ready to sell a do-it-yourself. You'll never realize what you put into a non-CVO to make it CVO-ish. I can guarantee that if JC's and his wife's Street Glide were the same year, when it came time for resale, he'd be getting a lot more for the SESG than the tricked out do-it-yourself SG that his wife drives. Even though her SG is a sweet looking ride, it's only worth what JC put into it to JC and his wife. If you trade his wife's SG in, the dealer won't even take into account any of accessories and will pretty much only give trade in on a stock SG. Stretch your wallet now and get the SESG and trick it out...you'll be dollars ahead.

Ordered my new SESG in November and yesterday it arrived in the local store. That was quick even here in Norway.
The guys had unpacked it and had started the last factory prep......
I had to drive down and take a look at iut and Damd fu** sh** Holy Cr** and other words in Norwegian.
chit that was a "diamond" of a bike, that paint,the weels, the engine mmmmmmmm
Was just stunning to stay there and look at the bike.
But we are never a long time in heaven....
The guys started it up and Hmmmmm... what was that ? some one played some joke ?

I headed in to the store and prompt ordered som Vince&Hines Hi-Output performance pipes and the new pro tuner.....
Well now i think i'll not be embarrassed next time i start up the bike.... (/&%¤&%¤&/¤%¤&%¤/&/

Well then i just have to be patient and wait for th 60cm with snow that have come this winter to melt...

My Spiced Rum is scheduled to ship 3/26 so I guess I should be taking delivery in early April. Won't be making many mods until after break-in but have a tour-pak on order and will also buy a touring seat so my wife can be a bit more comfortable when we travel 2-up. Moving to the SESG from an Ultra Classic so comfort for her is a priority. At other times, that stuff will be hanging on the garage wall.

Performance-wise I'll probably go with SERT, SE intake, and slip-ons (considering V&H Monster Rounds) and stop there. Looking forward to spring and breaking in a new bike!

You can save yourself a little money. The SESG already has the hi-flow air cleaner, so there's no need to replace it.

went today paperwork and toys could not find nothing wrong w bike love it. wife does 2 after shirts and jackets etc. ordered vh power duels hi output slipons yes there 4.5 diameter l seen them on another bike there .race tuner .chopped tour pak under fairing antenna .better speakers.kury license plate i wish i would of ordered sooner but wanted to see bike first. dealer treated me great sold my old bike for enough walked me through all my choices on new bike learned alot from this site that made today alot easier thanks terry

Traded in a 2004 FXSTSI and a 2007 FLHRS last fall. First, the SESG was gonna be here around Christmas but it was the SEUC, then it was supposed to be early March, now it has been pushed to Mid-May!!! Crap! It will be almost a year old bike when we get it! Thinking about waiting for a 2011...........

Hey! I got good service from your dealer there in Erie....summer of 2008 they replaced a broken a cracked fuel shell when I limped in during a trip to Maine. Tell 'em thanks again!

I see alot of complaints about dealer on these forums...HD of Erie is Outstanding. Everyone in the store is friendly and remembers my name when I walk in. The service department goes out of their way to make sure the customer is satisfied and they sell bikes at MSRP. I would recommend this dealer to anyone.

Not the way I thought I was going to be getting one. The PX or AAFES or ENCS has no more CVO's for 2010. I just got the notice in writing today. I plan to start a new thread here to see what all of you would do if you were me.

WooHooo!! I just talked to my dealer and my Spiced Rum shipped on March 17. Hopefully I'll be on her next weekend!!!!!

I also found 2 new ones on the floor in OKC. They were both about $3k over MSRP. One guy tried to sell me one hard and I had to hell him that my MSRP bike was shipping soon to the best dealer in the state!

Yes, you should get a gold key, cover, saddlebag liners (but not the really nice ones that the Ultra Classics have), tool roll (for what ever it's worth) and a brochure. Yep, I get a full size, full color brochure and put in the file for that particular bike (just a little something to put in the package for resale down the road).

Picked my rummy up today! Put my 50 on getting the feel for the bike and the wife and I have been thumping in and just outside of town the rest of the day. Is it normal for these things to get this dusty in only a few hours?

I guess I can clean it tomorrow while it's raining.

I got a picture. I probably won't have too many mods in store for this bike. I really like it how it is. Potentially passenger floorboards and fullsac baffles, but it will stay mostly stock. A little taller recurve windscreen is a must though. The wind hits me right in the eyes. I'm 6'0''.

I know what you mean,I'm 6'1" and I put the first 125 km on mine last weekend same thing lifted my helmet the whole time. Installed a Klock Werks 8.5" windshield this week,will be hitting the highway today will let you know the results.

Thanks Sapper! I really do love the bike as it is. I've decided it needs the cat removed and 2" fullsac baffles. Also getting a new windshield is a go. I'm thinking an 8 or 9 inch X-Stream. Those mods with the possibility of passenger floorboards will probably do this bike in. I normally like to personalize it, but I think HD CVO designed and built this bike with me in mind. I absolutely love it the way it sits. I've seen all three colors and the SR is the best in the sun. The CC is a close second and the TS is a close third though.

Riding home yesterday one of my saddlebags came open on the freeway when I went over a big bump. They'll be staying locked all the time now.

It rained all day yesterday, but I got out and put another hundred miles on this morning. It's a little chilly but it should be about 10-15 degrees warmer tomorrow. I'm going to try to hit 1000 miles in a week or less. I think I have around 250 on it now so with the next 4 or 5 days being sunny and 70 I should knock that out of the park.

I've got over 300 miles now and I just ordered an 8" dark gray recurve from clearview. I'll probably get an XStream eventually, but I know Clearview makes a good screen and the XStreams seem to have had some difficulty that may be fixed in the latest batches, but I ain't risking it. Also got 10% off from Clearview for preseason ordering. This ends 3/31. The stock "deflector" just doesn't cut it. Maybe if I were 4'3'' it would help, but being about 6' the wind beats me to death with the stocker.

Thanks Terry, Glad you had a nice trip breaking her in. I may have to scheme my way into a chopped pack. I bought a used King off ebay which I planned to have painted to match for when Household6 is riding 2 up, but I think I want to go with a chopped TP setup for single to go with my Corbin Solo for most days. Is it too much.... I say H3LL No! I think by the time I'm done I'll have been able to keep the price to about the same as a single TP for both. I'll let youze know when I'm all done what the damage comes out to.
