Newbie here with alot of time to read on vacation. My 2009 Road King Classic was/is and has been perfect coming into 10 months and 3800 miles. Did the posts with 2010 SG problems just magnify the discovered defects? I'd like to see or hear from new owners who have had no problems at all. Has the seat fix been incorporated into production? The air in the clutch line, is it a dealer prep problem? Should I print out the problems discussed in the sub forum to have the service manager look at or will this get me started off on the wrong foot. I assume the members do not scientifically represent the cross section of the entire production run.

I only developed the clutch issue after a handlebar swap. So, they didn't bleed the clutch right after they changed lines.

I would think printing everything out would not be a good idea. You would essentially be complaining about problems that have not happened to you specifically. As for me, the only problem I have really had was a hard to shift and hard to find neutral--fixed by switching to Redline oils in the trans and primary. I replaced the seat so I can't describe or discuss the gap between seat and tank problem. The problem with the engine running hot happens to everybody and gets better after the cat is removed and the fuel injection is re-mapped. If you ever owned a Harley with a fuel gauge, you already know that they don't know how to make a really accurate one. Other than that my SESG has been good and I have about 2600 miles.

I've had no problems.  Seat fits fine although I bought C&C solo for looks.  Only thing too me is the tranny has a whinny noise in 1st gear.  Three dealers have told me it's normal.  I had a 2000 Road King Classic that I put 73,000 miles on with very few problems.  Didn't have the tranny noise but was a 5 speed and I understand this is unique to the 6 speed.  I had heard 6th gear had this noise on pre 2010's 6 speeds but hadn't heard anything about 1st gear until I bought.  I know the 2010 helical gear fixed the 6th gear but I guess 1st gear is still straight cut and mine definitely whines.

I just had to bleed the clutch.  Changed to Corbin seat way early on so don't know about that.  Have a tad bit over 11k miles in the past 7 months (California livin  :2vrolijk_21: ) and I love my bike.

I'd do it again and not think twice about it! :2vrolijk_21:

I have had no problems other than a small seat gap.  It's so minor I wouldn't have know it's an issue without reading about it on this forum.  The bike itself is AWSOME!  :huepfenjump3:

It is a great bike in every way.

The poll looks pretty unanimous.  But think I'll just leave it run for future members of this forum....that are fortunate enough to end up with a SESG in their possession. :)

Already been posted to multiple threads just go to the SESG forum and search seat gap. Youll find the gap and sundowner and street glide standard seats pictured.

Fastest because the red to orange color tones have bigger molecules in the paint. Biger molecules equal more drag on the machine at speed. Blue having smaller and more compact paint molecules has less drag and is therefore faster. The red crimson and orange people will want to argue this but you can't argue with physics   :huepfenjump3:

There's another TQ on the floor at Athens Harley (Ga) and one more at Killer Creek Harley (Ga)

No Chrome Agitators though.

I wonder what 2011 will bring? It's hard to imagine any upgrades for the SESG, hotter maybe, but looks and performance?...naaaa Hopefully a better seat that fits.
