We worked out a weekend solution.  I will pick it up as scheduled, ride it for my 4 day vacation and bring it back to be fixed when I am done.

I better get that docking kit for my troubles.

TINSTAAFL

Glad it worked out for you.  How did you like the Military Sales price-I got mine from them while in Iraq/Kuwait.  :)  Enjoy the ride-beautiful bike  :2vrolijk_21:

My bike did not come with an ipod. The manual says it is supposed to have one is that correct.

I know a lot of people are saying good things about Rhein-Neckar Harley but frankly my experience has been mixed.

First it is important to know that they did not sell me the bike, so they really have no vested interest in me.  I recieved the bike without the iPod, I made them note it on the paperwork after a short argument where they said none of their FLHXSE's have had an iPod.  I pulled out the owners manual and showed them where it said one comes with the bike.  They also gave me the bike with almost no gas in it, and acknowledge as much.

For those not familiar with German culture this is pretty much the standard.  Before I get any hoopla I have lived here 9 years and my mom is German....

With that said, the chip was very small at the very bottom of the bag.  The bike looks amazing.

And yes it runs HOT.  As hot as my 103" FLHX with catted pipes.  Removing the cats should fix it.

I love the iPod controls and new stereo (I brough my own iPod).

my only gripe when i collected my bike from the dealer was it was not cleaned properly , they only polished the paintwork.
but it did come with the ipod and full of fuel , it gave me a good oppertunity to check over the bike by cleaning it myself , and it does look superb now

Mine was also poorly cleaned.  Not that I wouldn't have cleaned it again myself.

I was thrown off by the little breather nipple by the oil dip stick.  Did not have that on my 103" and it looks like aftermarket work, not something done at the factory...that little plastic cap is garbage also.  Just little things I noticed.

Also, the gas tank looks amazing, but having to push down and twist a chrome cap will only result in scratches long term.

From what you are describing it sounds like the cap on the bleeder valve for your hydraulic clutch to prevent it from getting clogged up. If your 103 didn't have a hydraulic clutch it wouldn't have had that valve.

Thanks for the info, wasn't familiar with it.  Cap looks like it would blow off in the wind.  Valve was also leaking a tad bit of fluid.  Or it was just overflow from when they filled it?

Seriously though, I love it.  Can't help but pick at the little things on a $30K bike.

If it's the correct cap it (normally) will not blow off in the wind when riding, however it has the potential of getting knocked off when you wash/detail the bike and if you use a blower to dry the bike that may blow it off.

I had the same problem w/my bike of that valve leaking when I first got it... tried tightening it up a bit but eventually had to take it back to the dealer and they put some "plumbers tape" on the threads and it hasn't leaked since.

Ok, so it is not supposed to leak.  Thanks.  I'll keep an eye on it.

You're welcome. :2vrolijk_21: The days of Harley's "marking their territory" should no longer exist. ;D ;D

Mine was properly cleaned and polished, ipod was there and a full tank of fuel, they also threw in a couple of dealer T-shirts, a Harley rucksack some detailing goods, keyrings and a really cool Poster of the bike that they had hanging in the dealership saying coming soon etc.........with a photo of the Krypto on, and they delivered it 350 miles Free of Charge....Plus the bike was £2,000 under list!

Great people at Newcastle Harley Davidson  :cucumber: :cucumber: :cucumber:
