I can't find the one Harley sold back in the day for the FXR (the one number I dug up was obsolete), but J&P sells a Jardine reproduction you might want to look at.

It is funny you are asking for this part number. In April, I bought my FXR3 and subsequently bought the last engine guard in the country that was in stock in a Harley dealer. My dealership had it shipped from Maine. I don't recall the part number, however.

Yes, but if possible I'd rather have a nice used OEM guard if possible.

TLS gave you the right p/n ..... 49017-82A 'Chrome Engine Guard' ..... Fits all '82 - '92 FXR models. (Stock production on '89 - '92 FXRT.)
This info is from the 1992 Accessories Catalog.
I imagine it would fit the '93 - '94 FXR models as well .....

These OEM engine guard / crash bars are frequently listed on eBay and CraigsList.  Many sellers are asking @ $200 for "brand new", but you can find a used one in very good condition from anywhere between $75-$100 +$25 shipping.
