Most excellent phot essay on the installation; thanks for sharing.

When I did mine, I installed the screws dry and insured proper alignment, then individually removed them to add blue locktite, and reinstalled each screw.

NVTHIS, Good job. I did mine a few months ago and I used a technique similar to yours to hold the tourpak lid. (my wife helped) The difference is outstanding. It just sucks that they weren't included with the bike for the prices we paid. HD knows that most of us like our bikes to be symetrical and they probably have brainstorming meetings just to figure out what extras they can get us to purchase. CAHDBIKER
