Business side of bike shows the new (although discontinued) V&H Q series pipes. While at rally week, I stopped by the V&H exhibit and asked the rep if they would be making flame tips for this exhaust. He informed me that was unlikely because they had been discontinued due to lack of interest. He said, "nobody wants quieter pipes on their Harley!" Well, sad to say, I am one of those guys. The engine mods from owner # 1 made the bike too loud for my neighborhood so I set out to quiet it down a bit. I am very pleased with the sound and the look (although I would like flame tips). I would wager that it is still louder than stock but no longer wakes the dead. Cuthbertss out in Colorado was kind enough to relieve me of the V&H straight shots that came off. Interestingly enough, they are now on his FXDWG2 so they remain a CVO upgrade.

looks good, hard to tell from the photo, but is the windshield touching the paint?

Naitram- - the windshield clears the paint by about 1/4 inch all around. The chrome trim piece is also pretty soft plastic. I don't believe fork travel impacts the shield moving towards the fairing. This is a mod greatly detailed here

This wasn't a Super Sport windshield but the theory is the same. Thinking of getting one of the Super Sport models and having a good painter put gold flames on it. More winter projects!

Looks good, the only thing I would have added would have been the matching brake rotors.  Just my .02...

Thanks for the input Mike. Added them to my wishlist. Will get them on the next time the wheels come off.

Just got in the Kuryakyn flame shifter peg. Nice piece of work. Completes the left side controls. Waiting for the flame brake pad due out soon.

Very nice mods to a very nice bike,  you have put a lot of thought and effort into the bike.  That was actually the first CVO I thought of buying but after taking it out on a test drive found out it just didn't fit me.  I finally traded my 07 CVO Springer in for a 07 nonCVO Ultra.  The bike isn't the same eye catcher as my springer but goodness its comfy, going to do a 500 Mile ride this weekend with the wife aboard.  Anyway great looking bike.
