I have them on my 08FLHX, took the dealership here at home a day to pull the cables through. I use ANess tear drops, looks much better than the big ole mirrors

Looks good. What are the extra controls on the left side for? How do these change the seating position (i.e. can you sit further back, are your hands higher, etc)?

I'm 5'7" so it didn't change my seating position too much from the stock bars. Jim set them to run in-line with the forks instead of straight up and down. The one thing that I really like is that they are a little bit more narrow compared to the stockers and they are raised up a few inches.

The "extra" controls are actually my Ipod Nano mounted on a "Rider's Claw" mount. That's why there's the white zip tie there for now...

You guys will need to ask Jim/HD-Dude about the install process and anything technical.

I went with the 10's, after originally ordering the 8's that Jason has. Side note, I'm a little ticked at the Yaffe guys who said yeah go ahead and order both -- we'll take back the one you don't want less a restocking charge. Then they reneged, saying the 8's were special order & could not be returned. Probably the economy hitting everyone hard. SOooooo, glad you have 'em Jason!

Speaking for the 10's, the install takes some patience if you want internal wires. Use a snake, it's not too bad. Getting around the upper bend is tricky. Plus, I added Heat Demon heaters which added another dimension of difficulty. If you want the heaters in the bars, you need to machine the id to accommodate. Otherwise, do as I did on the throttle side & machine the grip (sufficient meat with the Performance Machine grips in my case) & relieve the switch housings. It's a LOT of work for the heat.

I don't know about Harley's heated grips (installation), but didn't want them anyway. Had them on my previous RG and the heat was anemic.

Wires, yes. Brake line, yes. Clutch cable, no (I went +4", but +3" if made would be perfect).

Does the 8" Klockwerks windshield give any wind protection at all? I just ordered one for around town cause they look great but will put on a larger one for the long highway trips.

At 5'7" tall (short?) the wind hits me right in the face. I was going to get a taller windshield but hey, then I wouldn't be "in the wind". The wind does stay off of my body pretty much so I don't find myself fighting it on the freeway. The Flare does help a bit, but just a little...

I am really liking the looks of the Yaffe monkey bars on your SERG! I prefer more pullback but they are definitely styling.

Sure. BTW, the CVO's might be able to use the stock clutch line. I was able to use my stock brake line (hydraulic), but had to replace the stock clutch cable (non-hydraulic) due to the bend.

Jason - Looks AWESOME!
Those chrome ties are nice, but it would also look good with a smaller black tie (3") used to tie the Rider's Claw cable to the clutch cable... as opposed to completely around the bar. Mind if I use your pics on my Rider's Claw Gallery Page? We're redisigning our web site to include.

And, I'm working on a slight variation to move it up and over (toward the radio) just a bit. I might just offset the hole & see how that works. If possible I'd like to move it forward about 1/2" too (toward me). When it's all dialed in maybe we can duplicate it for members.

The machinist I'm working is expensive, but he has some NICE machinery & is very precise. Any machinists on the board?

Jason - Use the "small" black ties we supply to tie the auxiliary cable to your braided cable... not your handle bars.
If you got the chrome ties, post a pic... I'd like to see how they look.
