Good idea!  Thanks Spider!  I sent DaFixer a PM, we'll see what he has to say.  He hasn't been on since April so it may be awhile.

Ok, here's an update.
I got a call from the dealership yesterday that the bike was ready so I went to pick it up.  The service department told me that they had been instructed to remove the automatic chain tensioner and replace it with the stock unit which is what they did.  I asked if they'd had a lot of trouble with them and they admitted that they hadn't done many and there were issues with high horsepower motors using the automatic adjusters.  Sounds like a line of BS to me.  :-/
As far as the pronounced shake at idle, I found out on the way home that it's still there.  They said the map was fine... could it be the redesigned motor mount I've read about??  All I can compare it to is the SEEG and it's much smoother at idle.  What do you guys think?  Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob
I'd bet money it's your motor mount that's doin' the shakin'. Take a look yourself and look for tears. Should be fairly easy to see. Then I'd take it to another dealer. 8-)

Replace that piece of crap "C" motor mount with an aftermarket "B" type mount and the shaking will go away. Been there done that.

Can you explain that a little more? I also have noticed more "shaking" recently with my bike than when it was new but never gave a lot of thought to it.

On a side note I was reading a thread this morning on the Harley Tech forum about the SE tensioner and their associated problems. One had come apart and the others seem to be running on the tight side. I'll keep an eye on mine for awhile. I can live with or without it as it is now big deal adjusting the chain.

If you have had your front motor mount replaced, it was almost certainly done with the "new and improved" "C" suffix mount. These are a different design and a lot harder rubber than the "B" mount that these bikes came with. You can still get the "B" type mount in the aftermarket. If you still have the stock mount then it might be something else.

Mine is as HD/CVO delivered it in 01. Are we talking upper or lower mount?

We are talking about the front lower mount.
If yours is as delivered in '01 then it has the old style mount and that shouldn't be the problem.....unless it has failed. It's worth a check at any rate.
