11 SERG making the tour pack quick release
« on: November 18, 2011, 03:44:27 PM »

I know theres a topic on here that gives a complete detail how to do this but I've searched  on & off allday w/o any results... I've already installed my quick release on the tourpack but need assistance with the 50yards of wiring once its removed...I usually ride solo so I have my solo seat & cant get that much wire stuffed under the seat! :'( If someone could forward the link where a board member in detail listed out how he did it I would be very grateful!

If you are removing the amp under the tourpack this thread will help you out. It is for a 2010 ultra with the Hawg-wired system install but the basic premise is the same if you to remove the amp.

I already have the amp under the fairing but I have all the wiring to take care of. Moco sells a useless harness but looking to see what others have done with there wiring.

I ditched the AMP harness when I did this. Even with that gone there is a spool of wires to deal with.

Were you able to compleley eliminate the amp harness? I have the j&m 500w amp under my fairing now & J&M told me I had to keep it intact but its hooked up to nothing??? I'm thinking they didnt want to pull the tank & remove it...

Not sure about the J&M, I have Hawg Wired on my bike, and did remove the rear amp harness. I have no intention of going back to the stock setup so didn't need it there.
