Raskul,

Welcome to the family.  Thank you for your service and dedication to our country.

Hang on, spring will be here soon.  In the meantime, this is a great time to add new mods, or just in the garage with a cold one and admire your persoal piece of art.   :drink:

Another hearty thank you for all my new welcomes!!!     :beerchug:

As far as mods go, I'm having the first ones done now:  RH TD's, SERT.

As far as you all helping me spend my money goes, that is what I was counting on.  I can spend money, now, don't get me wrong, but I want to spend it wisely.  That is where you all come in, so I'll thank you for that in advance.

Are you aware of the fit problems with the RH true duals?  There is a thread here that describes the issues in detail.  Front header pipe has been known to have some issues clearing the billet brake arm. :(

I did read the threads about the clearance issue, but I also read were it fit for some.  On the other hand, I read and heard where RH was the way to go for performance.  So, with that information in hand, for me it came down to what was more important:  peak performance or keeping the stock brake lever.  And, do I feel lucky.  Basically, an engineerign trade-off decision.

Well, I've never been a lucky man.  The stock brake lever didn't work with the pipes, so I have a replacement on order that looks VERY similar.  I don't have the bike back yet, so I can't tell you how much of a difference the new lever looks.  I don't mind the placement of the non-extended brake lever, but if I ordered the billet style of that and it didn't fit either, I would be facing a 25% restocking fee (back to how lucky I am).  I would be interested in hearing if anybody has tried that option.

I thought about waiting to see if Bub was going to do anything about this clearance issue, but I really couldn't stand the way the stock bike was set up and running, not to mention the stock sound.  With the stock set-up, I also question the quality of the break-in (the dyno charts don't look very nice).  My bike only has 260 miles on it now; I didn't even wait for break-in.

What store did you get your bike from?  I just recently found out the dealer in Springfield graduated in my class.  Should have been better friends with that dude ;D

John...  I got my bike from Buckminn's in Xenia.  Is that the guy you went to school with?

Andy,  ditto if you are in the Dayton area.

There are a few other guys here from the state as well.  We will definitely need to keep in touch and meet up at a rally some where.  Perhaps even motor pool to one... a sort of CVO convoy!

Welcome.

I'm partial to my black SERK, however, yours is a close second  :)

Before you you know it, the cold will be gone and you'll be having a blast.

Welcome, again!
