All,

Greg went down yesterday afternoon, I spoke to one of his riding buddies and good friends last night. He was airlifted to JPS Hospital in fortworth. Thus far I was told he broke his left arm, right wrists, 4 ribs, his neck and they were watching him for some bleeding on the brain. He was in stable condition last night and I am sure could use the prayers and well wishes.

I was first told the bike was totalled, then Beaz told me that his bike was severly beaten up, but was ridden to safe spot for pickup today.

Just looked at Harry's original post again and this time read the hospital information. That facility is a Level I trauma center. That's a big deal. It's bad that Greg needed to get there. It's very very good that is where he got.

Still thinking of you Greg. When he's up to it we need to collectively get some particularly... umm.... unique, yeah, that's the word I'm looking for, some especially unique gift to aid his recovery.

An update.
Just talked with Libby, she was on the bike in front of Greg when he went down. (So she didn't see exactly what happened)
Greg has a broken arm, a broken wrist on the other arm, 5 broken ribs and I'm not sure what this means but his C7 vertebrae is chipped.
But he's alive!

He is at (again I'm just passing along the info Libby gave me as she sat in Greg's room) JPS in Fort Worth.
1500 Main Street. The Pavilion building, Room 503.

Tonights update:

Greg is having surgery on Saturday for the arm and the wrist. He is going to have both sides in casts. I am told they have his neck in a brace to keep it immobilized.

You aint kidding about the challenging part. Don't forget the broken ribs which will add additional complexity to that task. From experience it aint fun.

Spoke to Greg last night, the meds have him a bit subdued we'll say. He was in ok spirits, it seems like the boredom is getting to him and he still has a few days until the surgeries. His buddies are taking really good care of him thank goodness for that.

Greg I'm sorry to hear you went down but I praise God that you came through it and are being cared for. Greg went home on Friday afternoon for 2 days and will return to a different hospital on Monday afternoon to have his surgeries. His daughter is home with him as well.

Greg is having hand and wrist surgery today. He went in at about 2:30 today. Spoke to him this morning he is sounding better and ribs are on the mend.
