Just got a terrible phone call informing me that Don Tilley was killed in a motorcycle accident. His wife is in critical condition

I was speaking with a friend of mine also from NC a couple weeks ago who shared that he'd heard a nephew of Tilley's had been killed in a bike wreck at the end of July.  The details were fuzzy and certainly weren't confirmed.  But if true that family is managing way more than anyone's fair share of loss now.  Best wishes to them all.

I got the call about Don last night and I'm devastated. I've ridden thousands of miles following Don all over the country and have never seen a better rider. It's just reminder that it can happen to any of us at any time.

Please keep Robinette his wife and their family in your prayers.

RIP Don

Man, this is sad.  Friend of mine told me he was leading the Group, and he just left the road.  He sure was a good feller.  A great man, a great Husband, a great Father, a great businessman, and one helluva great friend.  He liked to go fast, and he knew how to make horsepower.  He left here doin' what he loved to do.  RIP Tilley.  My prayers for Robinette.  A wonderful lady.  Later--HUBBARD

He was one of that breed that was in the business because of his passion for motorcycles. That's why he had two of the very best dealerships you'll ever find. R.I.P., Don and please get well fast, Robinette.

I read something like that as well. Makes me wonder if a medical condition hit him before he left the road and couldn't recover. Very sad either way and I bet very traumatic for those in the group. Sounds like one heck of a great guy, wish I would have known him.
