Title: Evolution of the Twin Cam as far as bore and stroke
Post by: skreminegul07 on July 21, 2008, 11:22:02 AM
Can someone please provide the bore and stroke for the

TC88, TC 95, TC103 and TC 110

To go from a TC88 to a TC95, its a larger bore.  To go from a TC 95 to a TC 103 its a longer stroke, I believe the TC110 is a larger bore than the TC103, correct?  :nixweiss:

What the difference with the upgrade path from a TC96?

Thanks :confused5: :confused5:

The 88/96 was 3.75" bore. The 95/103 is 3.875 and the 110 is 4. 113 is 4.060.

Someone else will have the strokes.

I think this is it.

Displacement   Bore   Stroke

     88        3.750   4.000

     95         3.875   4.000

     96        3.750   4.375

    103       3.875   4.375

    110       4.000   4.375

    113       4.060   4.375

I've gotten rather fond of 3.9375 x 4.375 :2vrolijk_21: .

107 was never a HD motor. The aftermarket makes barrels to go from 103 to 107 without boring the cases, but HD never did. ;)

Poor little red bike.  Smokes and sputters, won't go but about 35 miles an hour.  Downhill with a tail wind.  If the sad thing weren't red would have to put it out of its misery.  Soooooo sad ::) .

Farthead.  I think she'd stand up with Cybil for the first 1/8 though.  After that we'd be waving at Cybil's tail lights.

Hmmm, trying to remember.  Since I didn't make Ken's you haven't got to ride it since it's done have you?  It's really not too bad now.

Not bad? Should be pretty damn good! 107 vs 110. Close. Similar cams, compression and headwork. My momma didn't raise no dummy....well anyway. These bikes should match up well. :2vrolijk_21:

All teasing and kidding aside I remember one evening graphing John's numbers over Joe's.  There was a lot of similarity.  Was pretty easy to see what was coming from similar cams and where you're larger throttle body was carrying it farther.  Was a very interesting comparison though.  Different machines and all that; so was paying attention to the shapes of the curves really more than their positions.  But you could see the similar ideas behind the efforts.
