6th gear gone!

Last week I took my FLHRSE3 out for the first drive of the season. After filling up I hit for the highway and up till the 5 th gear everything went well. In Six I lost drive and the speedo stopped. I stopped on the hard shoulder and tried again on a low speed. All gears function except 6th.

Went home on a slow speed and now the question is what did happen?
At home I checked the speed sensor. No damage visible.

Anyone know what the problem may be?

No grinding noises? If 1st through 5th works the shifting forks are good. I suspect the shifting drum. Pull the transmission top and look inside. Remove the shift drum then the forks. A good starting point. Good Luck. I have a Rivera 6 speed gearset with 50,000 plus on it with no problem at all.
