Title: CVO SG (Saddle Bag Recall)
Post by: dm930 on July 25, 2016, 08:38:44 PM
The guy I bought the bike from took it in before I bought it to have the saddle bag recall performed over a week ago.  I noticed tonight that it still shows the recall when I run the VIN.  Does this take a while to show or perhaps did the dealer not update the details?

Spoke to dealer.  Recall was performed.  Needs time to upload in their system.  Thanks.

If the recall was on the two pins that secure bags I still wouldn't trust them even after recall. People have reported loosing bags even after recall upgrade was done. I guarantee someone else will come on here and say they are fine and they are for them. With what the bag and lids cost I didn't take any chances. I recommend buying the Brukus kit or bolt them on. Plenty of info on what hardware to buy on this site. Another reason to upgrade is to make them harder to steal. The Harley pins can be pried off easily. My .02

I appreciate that and just ordered the kit from www.brukus.com
If anyone orders from them, use the discount code dansbday for $4.50 off.  Total was about $30 shipped.
