Title: At 65000 miles. Time for some upgrades.
Post by: tedrawlins on March 12, 2018, 01:46:08 PM
As the original owner of this 2001 model, and the last upgrades were done at 25,000 miles, which consisted of the six speed transmission screaming eagle oil pump and hydraulic cam chain tensioner and screaming eagle heads.  Now with 65,000 miles as the original owner and the option of riding my 2012 with the 110 motor. I decided it was time to give the ole girl a performance upgrade. So I went with the Zippers 98 in.engine upgrade with silver cylinders and 98 in.flattop pistons.  Using their red shift 527TC cams. And their thunder max magneti Marelli conversion throttlebody.  Also installed a new spare set of CVO mufflers with 2 inch fullsac Cores and a khrome works header system for the oxygen sensors   Big thanks to Vreelands Harley Daviidson of Bloomsburg,Pa. for putting in the conversion and the power increase went from 75 to 93+ horsepower. That  527 Cam  reaches peak torque between 2500 and 4500 rpms. Right where I ride. And now feels as quick with only 20 break in miles as my 2012 model. Looking forward to 65,000 more miles of fun riding with this classic.  Only issue now is my 1550 emblems should read 1605
