IMO, it's not a good idea to go with what "others" buy, even if they are your same height. Everybody is built differently, sits differently, etc. The best thing to do is sit on your bike like you would normally, on a flat road, driveway, etc. Put an object about 50' out in front of the bike. Look at the object and put a piece of masking tape or similar on the stock shield to see the point at which you can see the object over the tape mark. Then measure how many inches from the top of the fairing to the tape...order that size. If you get a recurve, it's effectively about 2" higher, so you should be good to go. Freedom, Clearview, Windvest...just depends on whether they offer the right height, look, and tint/no tint for what you think.
One person who's 5'10" might have 34" legs and another might have 30", so saying how tall you are and comparing it to others the same height is pretty much meaningless. Measure twice, buy once.
