How did I get in the middle of this??  :nixweiss:

Bob,

It's kind of like sitting on the side of the road waiting with your buddies broken down bike and having a truck drive by spilling some of his load hitting you with a bale of horse bedding!  (O.K., now we just drug Otis into this)

You got that right Mike!  Feels like I walked into the back side of a shovel!  At least now, I've got more than one use for Glare Products!

The best thing I've ever seen for cleaning and making shine the engine finish was shown me buy an older gentleman with the most amazing Tour Glide you've ever seen.  He makes up a paste of peanut butter and Wesson oil.  Wipes it one thin.  Cleans it off in a normal wash.  Motor just glistens.

Was just too easy to imagine some poor guest to the site surfing through some dark and stormy night.  Who didn't know me.  All trusting and warm and serene.  With a scoot out in the garage.  And he/she/it thinks "gee, this is nice, that sweet Mr Twolane just told me how to make my boring black motor all shiny.  Now just what the hell is Wesson Oil anyway?"  Then off he goes in the rain to Wal Mart; and it goes downhill from there....

How do I get my engine repowdercoated, without taking it apart again? :nixweiss:

I rushed out to the garage to use a mixture of peanut butter and Wesson oil on my engine, before getting to see the disclaimer! That chit works worse than Easy-Off Oven Cleaner!!! :o ::) :P ;D ;D

I don't understand the problem.......if ya'll are gonna concoct these oven-cleaner peanut butter solutions to solve your dirty stained engine problems, then.......oh, you are the group that actually rides your bikes on the cross country excursions....ahhhh, I see the problem now, .....  thought I was in the bike pulling the trailer in the trailer thread.  My bad.  :huepfenlol2:  spyder

Don't forget that the bike in the trailer pulling a trailer is inside a Harley bubble with a HEPA filter and sotrage air dehumidifier. ;)

Only if they are on the bike inside the bubble while in the trailer. :huepfenlol2:
