06 cvo fat boy no neutral safety switch?

I just purchased  a 06 cvo fat boy. By mistake I was sitting kn my bike with the kick stand down and  in gear. I hit the starter button thinking to was in neutral and it wasn't  the bike lerched forwards. Is there suppose tobe a neutral safety switch on this bike?  If so where is it located?  Thanks Jim

No, if the bike is in gear its gonna lurch if you try to start it. Clutch in every time. Even if the stupid green light is on, don't trust it 100%.
