2004 SEEG HELP PLEASE, MOTOR WORK RECOMMENDATIONS
« on: April 27, 2017, 01:07:59 PM »

Have a 2004 SEEG, I just bought couple months ago, ive upgraded a bunch, but now its time to look at the 103.   I have se255 cams, gear cam tensioner, d&d 2into1 fatcat, stage 1 air cleaner, and power vision tuner.  it runs good, but want more.  Hoping to get in the 110/120 numbers if possible.   Any help with recommendations on what needs to be done, head work, cam, ect, also any shops.   I live in south Michigan.   I'm interested in usable power in the 2500-4500 rpm area.   Don't know much about engines, thanks

103 will get to what you're looking for without opening the bottom end.  One that I especially liked for how hard it pulled and how well it came in had its basics of:

50mm throttle body
cylinders and pistons to stretch it to 107
CNC HTTC heads  with a little extra head work that combined with the got to about 10.4:1
Mackie 598 cams

Hey Grumpy

I replied to the PM then I saw this thread....I would like to add to what I PM'd you.

Getting those kind of numbers from a 103 Cu In displacement is tough. Mine is 113/115 with CNC HTTC heads and SE 258 cams with 10.5 compression but it is all top end. It is no fun at all until you hit 3000 RPM then WHAM!! I much prefer the power curve of my more or less stock 110, that is up to about 100 where it starts to run out of steam.

Chop some heads.  S&S 570 cams.  Injectors. 58mm throttle body.  Crusher exhaust.  Harley good air cleaner. TTS and a good tune.  That should be get you there.

Would do just what the poster said above but use pistons, a different cam, and a little mild head work. Arias makes HC pistons for the CVO103 chamber.

Getting those kind of numbers from a 103 Cu In displacement is tough

Not tough at all, very easy actually at 10.5:1 with about 245° cam

The heads come stock with 1.9 X 1.625 valves and will flow that with just a valve job and pockets fluffed.

Thanks for all the help.    I did contact fuelmoto about their 107" kit, but they said it wouldn't work on earlier 103 cause of cam plate.

agree`d,just trying to show how easily the #`s he`s looking for can be achieved.lots more to be had with even better heads (the 255 was a minimum figure)
