Congratulations on the new ride.  You're one of the really lucky few to have the really beautiful blue! :2vrolijk_21:

The dealer's claims......would depend a lot on the tuner.  But if they've done it already, have him produce the dyno sheet on it and have a look.

There's more to performance than just hosepower.  Torque is equally important....especially on a heavy bagger.  Then it gets into where does the horsepower and torque come on at.....is it early in the powerband or at the top just before you run out of room (where it does little good). :nixweiss:

That's alot of money for some chrome tubing.  Talk to Steve @ Fulsac.  He has a new head pipe that will get you 3 hp just with the pipe.  Way cheaper and a little more power, than add the baffles and tuner/MAP, he will tell you how much power you really get, hp and tq.

Congratulations!! on the New Scoot

If $1200 is including the Pipes and the Power Commander its not horrible price wise.
does it include a Dyno run?

I have doubts about the 100 HP more likely betwen 80 and 90 would be a guess. You could add the Auto tune to the PC V when they come out with a 2010 version (2010 O2 sensors are different and not yet supported)

IMO you'd be better off with the TTS or the SESRT tuners and the SESRT would allow you to capture data and customize your tune to your bike and riding style.

I believe I am going with the SERST as it has a data module instead or requiring you to bring a laptop on the bike to capture data.

FYI
I was quoted 505.00 for the Master tune TTS SERT
and $485.00 for the SERST super Sert
this includes the cables and training DVDs

FYI
You can purchase the TTS Master Tune from Doc1 for $382.50.

Also, another member here Steve George from Fullsac Performance also sells them, but I've not seen the price published.

Both of these listings and more can be found on this forum under the Vendor Discounts board.

My mistake the price I had for the TTS was from their website I misplaced the quote I recieved but that price Sapper found is very good!

here are the items I was quoted on the Super Sert

32109-08A HD SE PRO SUPER TUNER             $366.99 707
32184-08A HD CABLE KIT SE PRO SUPER          $34.99 707
32101-10   HD SUPER TUNER DVD TRAINING     $24.25 708
32111-10   HD SE PRO SUPER TUNER                $24.25

not sure you need it all?

cost on the freedom performance exhaust is $841 from my dealer...sounds ok for price, this system is true duals with a 4 in. pipe, and loud baffles in it,
I think it will be good....I want it LOUD!

Anything has to be an improvement over the whisper quiet factory exhaust

After running Thunderheader for the past 12-15 years, I'm likeing that "whisper quiet". :)  I can even hear my stereo at 100 mph. :2vrolijk_21:

**Edit**  Oh hell, we just thread jacked layloner's tread on that beautiful blue bike he just got.  He's probably out riding it, anyway.

New SESGs have a proximity alarm. As long as you have the key fob with you it deactivates the alarm when you walk up to the bike.Alarm sets automatically when you walk away.Don't know what happens if you  start the bike then ride away from the fob.

You're fine until you shut it off then need to restart it again.  :o

There's a way of shutting the alarm off if you lose the FOB or for some reason it doesn't work using the turn signal buttons.Very good idea to set a code & know how to use it.Know of a couple times where interference of some sort disabled the FOB.

right now my dealer is getting me a price on some exhaust from Freedom Performance, does anyone have this brand on thier bike?
Heard all their pipes at Street Vibes this year and if you like loud they are. They had a line of bikes each with a different pipe and they all sounded close to same and did I mention LOUD. Good luck with yours.

They have the air temp gauge.  There is a replacement gauge currently available, but the back-lighting is different than the other SESG gauges although the face is the same.  There is a thread on the topic here:

H-D Oil Temp Guage - no go for FLHXSE?

I don't know the answer to your question about the slip on's, although the manufacturer of you exhaust ought to be able to answer that question.

Due to the streatched bags, you'll need 4" exhast cans to fill the hole in the back.

Only difference I notice is it's a lot easier to cancel the cruise by twisting the throttle ahead.Last bike seemed like there was a catch in it .Was easier to just hit the brake.Don't always like to show the brake light when I go off cruise.

I really like this new throttle, I had a sportster before this which had the traditional set-up and this new throttle is just as responsive as the cables are.
