Title: Revo based bagger
Post by: Midnight Rider on September 24, 2007, 06:59:36 PM
This guy did a great job with this one:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=330166010010&rd=1

Black and Silver 103rd Anniversary Edition....Chip, where are you?  Put a 1550 kit in this one and 150mph is NO problem.   :bananarock:

TC, looking at that "cruising" V-Rod it occurs to me there's just no place to hang the pre-08 cruise control modules on a V-Rod is there?  With the new ECM they could do it though.  Then it's only a little more wire in a harness.

Nope...all you got is the star screw to hold the throttle in place temporarily.  On 08's and later though, wouldn't be as big a deal.  The guy did a good job on the bike though...the lines flow well IMO.

The bike did come out nice, looks almost Arlen Ness like from the back. Still don't care for bags on V.

That's the nicest looking one I've seen .  HD  WAKE UP!!

I've seen one with the SERG black/orange that was pretty killer too.

As they have EPA tested up to 2400cc .. it could prove to be an interesting future...

I can not seem to link to the pics but has I have posted in the past, I have ridden a VRod Bagger.

IMO if you could place the engine on a touring frame with all of the bells and whistles...winner!

However I can not think of touring with this bike otherwise.

One person's thoughts.

Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
towards the revolution
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
towards the revolution

I want to fly like an eagle
To the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my TWIN CAM  carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
Till I'm free
Oh, Lord, forget the revolution

Feed the TWIN CAM's
Who cant get enough to eat
tune the Delphi
so they don't overheat
remove the baffles
so they rock the frickin street
Oh, oh, there's a solution

I want to fly like an eagle
To the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my TWIN CAM  carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
Till I'm free
Fly past the revolution

Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
towards the revolution
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
towards the revolution
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'

E1,
I have a feeling that Twin Cams will be around for a pretty long time just that the REVO now will be too.

Not really an article, I have been contemplating a dual sport bike and reading up on the BMW R1200 GS Adventure and Buell Ulysses when I stumbled upon it....

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=214861 (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=214861)

Some amazing riding stories over there...I got lost one whole evening reading about this guy on a Sporty riding the Mexican back country.....

Be forwarned however that these forums are not CVOHARLEY pages - might see some more colorful language than were used to here.

I have been reading a few other boards as I said researching this other bike, and it has struck me a few times how good we have it here at home on CVOHARLEY.com - I find myself wanting for the wealth of info that is always available here - and the civility that's always here. So that said, I don't know all the details and don't want to take sides - but I hope the lil rif that has developed in our family here gets worked out soon :2vrolijk_21:

Interesting, looks cool though. My first thought is that the REVO motor is too heavy for that application. Not sure if it would be or not. I keep thinking about my Bother-in-laws KZ250 with a little one lunger. Very light but the torque was incredible.

Looks good from here, but I'd like to see it closer up.  You buying?  Maybe I can see in in Sedona?
