2007 CVO Springer
« on: October 16, 2012, 09:15:49 PM »

Got a quick question.  I ran across a 2007 bone stock CVO Springer Softail, Red with the tribal flames.  Looks to be pretty showroom clean with just over 2000 miles on it.  I'm trying to gauge the value on it and any inut would help.  Nadaguides lists the low retail at $14200 and high retail at about $18,500.  I also went on eBay and couldn't really tell what going rate was on there.  Any ideas from the forum would help.

The price range you have quoted soundz good to me, but I am in Europe where we would have to pay alot more for this bike.

Whats the asking price?

With only 2000miles, it sounds like it could be a bargain buy,  make sure the bike has had the head gasket product improvement done.

I'm getting it for a hair under $14k which I think is a good price. You never really know though with the prices stated in NADA and I usually try to bounce actual values off of those that have more knowledge.

I'm not aware of a head gasket fix. Do you have a reference that I can look up?

That's a very good price for an '07!

The 07 required a product improvement campain 0906, which is new head gaskets, lower orings, crank case bolt etc. So check if this has been done, the dealer can enter the VIN into there computer and can tell you if and when this was carried out.

That bike should run right around 17-18k since there is only 2000 miles on it.  I coincidentally have the same bike with a few upgrades and 7100 miles on it-absolutely flawless and would consider selling it for a good offer (looking to buy a breakout, but would need to sell my bike first).  If intestested send me a private mail.

I'm picking it up on Saturday morning. Already put cash down. It's just 300 miles away and I need to get there with a trailer.

HAHA.  Lucky for me we ride here year round.  I did a little ride this morning after I serviced the bike.  What a kick to ride!  I think that I am going to really like this one.  Just need pipes and I am set.

:beatdeadhorse:  That is a pretty funny statement Desertwndrr !

For those of us who were blessed with the opportunity to buy new, and weigh all the
options of choice, the 2007 FXSTSSE has litterally pages of Custom equipment built
into the bike as a CVO. That info is still out there if you look for it.

Bye the way, what's that chrome piece attached near the right side down tube on the
frame and between the rear brake, below the tank ?  Document Tube ? Someone else's
front pipe ?

Good Luck,

It's custom as hell to be sure, compared to a base springer softail.  But it was completely unmolested as a CVO until I got my hands on it.  Not much to do really aside from a headlight, exhaust and tuner.  I've been riding the crap out of it.  I'm amazed that it only had 2300 miles on it when I got it.  I'll put that amount of miles on it by the end of Dec.  I just don't understand buying a motorcycle and not riding it.

The tube is a small documents tube but has since been taken off.  When I got it, the bottom had unscrewed and fallen off and was missing.  Not much use to have a doc tube with no bottom.

I really love this bike.  Makes a great companion to my Road Glide.
