Title: The split "collets" behind the exhaust clamping ring.
Post by: johnmowcop on September 08, 2019, 01:46:08 PM: Is there a knack in getting the thin spring steel ring over the belled out end of the headers. Finding very difficult to open them out enough to passover the end.

Thanks a lot for your comments fella's. It was easy to get the old ones off, it's the new ones that are the problem. Just wondered if there was an easy way other than brute force. I will keep trying

Da d00d has your answer for both old and new. I've got two pair of these with different size "heads" for different applications. Makes it much easier to remove/install
