Title: 2017 cvo limited upgrades
Post by: mazz on October 18, 2019, 03:04:22 PM
i was talking to a local tuner who mentioned i would get better sound by just getting cat out and adding dynojet tuner
anybody take this route. Does removing cat increase sound volume with std muffler with full sac baffles?

Yes, it will increase the decibel level. Whether that is better is subjective.

I decatted my head pipe and then went to Autozone and found a freeze plug that fit the crossover pipe flange. Pressed it in and spot welded it in place. Turned my stock header into a 2-1 head pipe. Left the crossover and left muffler in place as a ghost pipe. Installed a set of RC components on the bike and have been very happy with sound and performance. A set of stock slip ons with Fullsac baffles of your choice would make it look 100% stock.
