Title: Under Armor to keep warm
Post by: ccr on October 18, 2006, 04:42:23 AM: [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Well folks, I gotta pass on this tip. My husband and I packed tops and bottoms of Under Armer to go to MV with last week and we both wanted to pass on a great big Thumbs Up [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] on this product. Cut the wind, very compact for packing, kept us toasty warm - but not overheated when stopped for lunch etc., very thin so easy to wear under regular jeans and t-shirts. We really enjoyed the comfort of them. Saw many others wearing them while we were there so we know we are not the first to discover them, but it was the first time we have tried this product. A definate - Job Well Done! for this company. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

One thing I really like about it also is if you get wet it dries a lot quicker than a regular shirt would. The tight fit isn't really an issue, it streatches a lot and it's pretty comfortabull

Post by: cuthbertss on October 31, 2006, 09:38:19 AM: IMHO, this is among the best products out there.... I would order loose gear where i could... and for the Cold gear stuff, order it a little bigger thatn you normally would...

the army also issues something called "silky drawers" ( polartec branded) that is lightweight and warm and somewhat moisture wicking... if you happen to be near to and have access to an Envisions store on post base or camp it is quite reasonably priced and a possible substitute at a lower price.....the manufacturer is Peckham industries... not sure who they retail through
I am a BIG UnderArmour fan ( wearing it now) ... but these are a nice alternative

tested them riding < 20 degrees last week and they were warm.

[smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] We were at one of the HD shops on Saturday and they were blowing out a lot of cool weather gear, to include thermals, that I have never seen on sale before. We could look at them in total confidence that we have a better product, that folds up smaller, will dry quicker when on the road and laundry needs to be done in a bathroom sink. Yes! I do think that the folks who turned us onto this product are just all right. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Amazing too, we found that we put the UA on under our clothes in the beginning of a cool weather day, but did not find the need to peel out of them when the day turned out to be in the 70s. Awesome products available nowadays. ;)
