Title: Remove Side Panels on 2012 CVO Road Glide Custom
Post by: Frankcsal on December 11, 2011, 04:52:42 PM
I would like to remove my side panels on my 2012 CVO Road Glide Custom FLTRXSE to wax them.  Do I need a special tool remove them or do they just pop off when you pull them away from the bike.  Any help, directions or advise would be greatly appreciated.

They are held on by 3 rubber grommets on each side. 2 on top and 1 on the bottom...just pull on it to remove the panel.

Frank,  just my experience but the side panels seem to be easier to wax when they are on the bike.  I do take them off first to clean the inside and what's behind.  BTW, Lemon Pledge works great for both the inside of the panels and the misc. black parts behind the panels. (Fuse box on the left side, ABS, etc. on the right). Just a thought.
