Perusing Fox News this morning, I came across these little ditties. I don't wear sneakers/tennis shoes when riding but with the way these are designed AND the lighting in the sole, I think I could talked into a set....for $300 no less.

Comfort is one thing, but the lights... well they remind me of the kids shoes that light up when you take a step

I agree with ya, d00d. How about if you rev the motor, the lights get brighter?...

But you have to admit, the idea is very cool. I wonder, however, if the lighting would be DOT compliant or just listed as supplemental?

They will probably appeal to those that commute and live in larger cities. Probably not so appealing to those that live more rural.

Don't think it's something I'd be looking to buy but the concept is interesting. I mean 35 yrs. ago who would have thought we'd be carrying a phone/mini computer around on our belt?

Video didn't show the little propeller that raises up from the between the toes while moving to drive the itty bitty generator that power the lights.

Might be a better idea than a Ni-cad battery that sets you feet on fire or blows them off!
