I followed this case so little (read: not at all) that I don't know if he was being tried by Nevada or under Federal charges.  There was a kidnapping charge so could be either.  If state it's doubtful Nevada has the "club Fed" type facilities that might be an option if he were in Federal court.  Prison royalty or not, and no matter the facility, it won't be fun; and he'll never believe he deserved it.
I believe it is Federal as the news was talking about points. The Federal system still loosely bases their sentences on the points system (there was some hoopla over the points system about four years ago). From my limited knowledge, the gun charge won't net him "Club Fed" time. When he has under ten years of his sentence left he may see a camp facility then.

I just read the story on Yahoo Sports. The article stated it was a state case. With that he'll be eligible for parole at some point unless otherwise stated, the federal system no longer has parole just probation.
