He had a bad motorcycle accident and hit his head. Seems a little old lady pulled in front of him and if he'd been wearing a helmet he'd be MUCH better.

Phew - Powerful Stuff there Brian - and I have to go along with what you said

How the heck are you supposed to establish who is a "good guy"

I think, in the absence of any obvious evidence to the contrary I too would be looking to protect myself (from what I assess as an assailant) first and respond to "An Officer of the Law" second.

But not a great choice to have to make either way

As you stated it is the understanding that this is an open forum and everyone is entitled to their opinion. No one other then a moderator or Neal can shut down this thread and there is no need to. In my opinion it was getting a little heated over speculation on the facts. It

Spiderman, don't rail in one section against a member who isn't really a member but only shows up to post an item for sale and then not see an issue here when posts on a subject that can only lead to rancor come from two people that only came to this site to push their story.  Neither are members in any other sense.  Both only showed up to plead a case in the court of public opinion.  We're not their stooges or whipping boys.  But boy oh boy could this thread have turned ugly.

If you like it just because it might stir chit up that's fine.  But at least let the stirrers be you or our own people rather than letting us be played like poodles on a leash for the purposes of others who are here for no other reason.

So, how about those fukking Mets?
