Global Warming
« on: December 02, 2006, 06:29:42 AM »

In the eight years we have been in our house, I set a goal date for turning on the oil fired furnace to heat the house.  Ihad never met that date of 1 DEC until this year...at one point in OCT, the interior of the house was down to about 53 but as of yesterday, it was 68 in the house...when the heat is turned on, it is set to 64.

The little things in life...

next week is looking cold

Wow Bill, that's a lot of thought to go in to turning the furnace on.  Though I have similar targets too.  I turn it on when I get cold. ;D [smiley=drink.gif]

Bill's like that ya know? See his plans for a tire change next summer. If there's any doubt after that, recall his trip planning for shirts for the no name or initial tags or whatever it's called ride. A most studious fella. [smiley=book2.gif]
Just adding more proof that he's the right man for "Chairman" of the East Coast CVOHarley GTG for 2007. [smiley=bigok.gif]

Brisco, see cat vomit for pic, is sleeping under the comforter...heat will be turned on today in all likelihood.  Freezing weather at night and water pipes in walls do not make for a dry basement.

It is programmed to 62

Bill...maybe you could get all these guys who are pulling the Syn3 out of their scoots to send it to you so you could kick that sucker up a couple of notches   ;)  I would never want to get out of the shower in the morning!!

I have a Honeywell CVOSE Programable T'stat...had one for years...takes it down to a good sleeping temp at night, then up to a good "get out of bed" temp BEFORE you actually get out of bed, then back down after leaving for work, and up again before I get home.  Has summer and winter programs...

It works, and pays for itself in three or four years in energy savings.
