wobble solved
« on: September 04, 2011, 10:58:20 AM »

Halfway through my trip i decided to stop at a dealer and have them balance my front wheel. Turns out it was out of balance. No wobble to speak of anymore. Best $37 spent on the trip.

I'd also check those head bearings,

Ok Dyna beads.  can anyone tell me if these are really worth it?  Tires are balanced? Do the help the life of the tire too? All of a sudden I want to know.  Thanks.

I've had good luck with them Stuart.  Some have not.  My theory is that they can't balance a tire/wheel combo if it's too far out of balance.  But, if you're only gonna be replacing a few ounces of weights, they work very good....keep on working for the life of the tire.  I love not having those weights attached to my wheels.  spyder

I have them in my front tire and they work great. I also like not seeing the weights but that is just another benefit...

They come with some ball-park instructions depending on tire size as to the number of oz. of beads.  If in doubt use add'l. beads as it appears 'over-beading' is not an issue.  :) har.  spyder

I've found no downside to them other than the cost/effort to install, and neither of those is excessive.  Upside is all good !!!  spyder
