OMG...not again!!  There's not as many graphics on the 07's, so no need for the extra clearcoat that was the problem on the BCC color.

Does the finish look "milky" all over, or are you talking about one particular area.  Can you post some pics?

I have some problems with my front fairing, when they installed the screws for the windshield the paint must have not fully cured & they may have overtightened them because the paint above the screws is bulged up. And one of my saddle bag lids has a run on the edge of lip. The dealer has already ordered the replacements.

Good Grief.  Hopefully there's not a problem this year.

I was looking at a B/O a couple of weeks back and the left saddlebag lid had a reall milky looking spot on one of the corners.  He said the dealer is replacing it.

No, no problems.  Just wondering if the 06 problems were carring over to the 07's.

Here we go...2007 Paint issues??..
« Reply #14 on: October 13, 2006, 05:48:53 PM »

Had my bike at the dealer today to go over some warranty stuff after the "fine tooth comb" treatment..

1) Front fairing has three fingerprints (that's right, fingerprints) UNDERNEATH the clearcoat.

2) Front fender in the dark blue area has a "spotty" finish.  Looks as though they were at the bottom of the spray container and it didn't get a full coat.

3) Fairing lowers top caps in front did not fit properly, tight on top and bulging out on bottom.  They tried to fix it in the parking lot by tightening them down and they still are not fitting properly.

The Service guy there was really good about the whole thing and is ordering a new fairing, but said that the Harley rep should look at the fender.  When it's in for the 1000 mile, they're going to try to correct the fitment issue with lowers.
