Title: +12v keyed signal source
Post by: Jetmedic on May 25, 2023, 12:24:37 PM
I have a 2015 CVO limited and I'm installing air ride and an electric center stand. I need a 12v signal source to energize the relays only when the switch is on. Any ideas?

If you are just looking to Activate the relays and not feeding the compressor from the 12v u are looking for then I would get a dc volt meter or Test light. Pull the side cover where the fuses are located. Hook the ground of the test light negative  side of the Battery or any good ground then probe the little holes on the end of the  fuse until u find 1 that only lights the lite when u have the key on. Than go to auto parts store and ask for a Fuse Tap for what ever size fuse you will be connecting to. Good luck really pretty easy.

Don't know if the 2015s had it, and don't remember if it is hot only when ignition is on...but my previous touring bikes had a switch on the dash that controlled an Auxiliary power source.  The output connector was under the seat, right near the heated seat wire (but separate).

Good luck.

They do not. If you want to add the aux button, you need the switches by that bars to activate that plug. You can get a harness for that plug that will give you two leads in which to wire accessories
