Dyno test! Fullsac 2.5 baffles with no tuning!
« on: January 31, 2022, 03:51:53 PM »

I have been getting a lot of inquiries about low end TQ loss with the 2.5 baffles and the stock cat headpipe. We all know what big baffles do to the low end with a good non cat headpipe. Pretty much kill it. Having never tested with a stock cat headpipe other than baseline pulls on a stock bike. I just assumed the low end would suffer in some way even on a bone stock bike with huge 2.5 baffles. Was I ever wrong. In comes a good friend of mine with a brand new 2021 114 SGS. He just wanted noise and didn't care about power. Into the dyno room for a few base line pulls. Pulled the stock 114 mufflers installed the 2.5 baffles. A few more pulls later, man was I surprised! It actually gained low end Tq from the hit with an 8 FT pound gain in the mid range. AFR was right at 12.5 all the way through. Still learning! Lol..

Wow, that is quite interesting.  Nice gain in the mid range for a stock bike, no tune.

Hey Dave!
Part of the gain was the AFR correcting its self. With the stock mufflers it was down in the low 11s. The big baffles leaned it out to a near perfect 12.5 at full throttle. First Harley I ever seen fix itself. Lol..

Steve,

What about if I installed the 2.25's with your header but no tune? I think I know the answer, but since the TTS is out of stock is that a reasonable option.

I would suggest the 2.0 baffles with out tuning just to be safe.
